Stodoła Drwęck

In a modern barn located in a picturesque valley, on the edge of a protected landscape area (Drwęca Valley). The house has two bedrooms with space for a total of 8 guests (we do not include the sofa in the living room), two bathrooms, a living room, a covered terrace and a kitchen. We welcome pets - the area is fenced. We have WiFi Internet - movie streaming and video calls work without any problems.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen. If you don't feel like cooking on your own, you can drive to the restaurants on Lake Mielno - "Krokodyl" and "Renka" in a quarter of an hour. Be sure to go to Olsztynek and try the famous jagodzianki ("Jagodzianka confectionery plant"). Sometimes you have to wait in line, but it's worth it :) There is a bistro "Konfitura" next to it, where you can buy takeaway, for example, lavender bread from the Warmia Lawendowe Pole.

We are in Masuria, but away from the beaten track, crowded beaches and the cries of the crowd. Drwęck itself is a small village, located on the edge of forests, in the valley of the Drwęca oxbow lake and near the Czarci Jar gorge. It is here, nearby, that the Drwęca River begins its course. We recommend the river for kayaking, the gorge and forests for an atmospheric walk. There is also a beautiful Omin Wielki lake surrounded by a forest. Plan a visit to Olsztynek (10 km), where you will find attractions such as: - the best blueberry rolls in this part of the country ("Jagodzianka Confectionery"). - an insane open-air museum in which space-time changes (don't miss the herb house, where you can drink decoctions of Masurian herbs), - taking a look at the Teutonic Castle (now... a school), - watching a film in the intimate Grunwald Cinema, - presentation of glass making in the glassworks (very interesting for adults and great for children!!!). What else? - bicycle trips around the Dylewskie Hills, - ... and in winter replacing the bike with cross-country skis, - a visit to the field of the Battle of Grunwald (on May weekend, the European championships in horse archery are held here, in the summer in July a reconstruction of the battle itself), - taking part in the Secrets of Ciesiołka, the East of Beauty Festival or the Regional Celebration of Herbs (calendar of events in Olsztynek to be viewed here: https://muzeumolsztynek.pl/oferta-muzeum/kalendarz-wydarzen-2021/) - swimming in the lake (the nearest lake is Omin Wielki), - horse riding (Buczkowski stable).
