The chilli-colored Beetle, vintage 1971, became our first jointly realized dream. And it went on. It started with one hump and ended with a whole panorama ready to be admired from three small houses built on stilts to fit into the Karkonosze landscape. They are located in the Rudawy Landscape Park, a quarter of an hour's walk from the Colorful Lakelets. They have a small area and compact interiors, but they are full of cosiness and pleasure. Taught by motorhome experience, we know how to make a small one functional, comfortable and conducive to closeness. We managed to squeeze in a comfortable bed on the mezzanine with a view of the sunrise, a goat and a sofa bed in the living room, and make the windows so large that you can spend hours looking out. There are also terraces encouraging reading or yoga activities and serving meals on them, as well as a jacuzzi for ascents and immersions.
The best things come from dreams, fulfill your blissful rest here.
On 1.8 hectares of land, in the Rudawy Landscape Park, they were built - three wooden houses on stilts, compact in size and set in nature. Their minimalist interiors refer with color accents to the nearby attraction - Colorful Lakes, and they have their names after their colors (so we have houses: blue, purple and green).
The space of the houses is small (their base is 25 m²), but well-thought-out and functional. There are no TVs inside, there are large windows offering 24-hour nature viewing. On the ground floor you will find: a living area with a comfortable (and convertible) sofa, a fireplace, a table with chairs and a wardrobe, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. On the open mezzanine there is a double bed (with a mattress measuring 140x200 cm). Each cottage is perfect for a couple, but thanks to the fold-out sofa it can accommodate 4 people.
In front of the houses there are two terraces and a jacuzzi (additionally paid). Our area also has a fireplace surrounded by benches and armchairs.
Our dream houses were created to bring you bliss, relaxation and pleasure. So they have a bed with a comfortable mattress from which you can watch the sunrise, as well as terraces for celebrating meals, reading books and soaking in the jacuzzi.
On a large green area, surrounded by fields, we have a lot of grass for you to lie down, jog, meditate, roll around and have fun. We also have a hearth, and next to it there are chairs and benches.
The colorful lakes, i.e. the remains of the former pyrite mines, are less than a 15-minute walk from the cottages. There are four lakes: purple, emerald, green and yellow (the last two periodically dry up). The attraction is popular and can get crowded in high season, so it's worth visiting during the week. A green trail runs through the area of the lakes, running from Wieściszowice to Wielka Kopa. At its top there are remains of the lookout tower, currently the views are obscured by trees. However, if you deviate to the narrow path (heading south and south-west), you will find a viewpoint below the peak, from which the view is frontal.
The highest peak of Rudawy Janowickie - Skalnik, 945 m above sea level. you can go with your family (from the car park in Czarnowo, the entrance will take an hour, with children about an hour and a half). However, you can't count on a reward in the form of a charming view, because Skalnik is located in the middle of the forest, so it's also worth climbing Mała Ostra, which offers a beautiful view of the area, on the occasion of the trip.
You can also go to Sokolik Duzy and Krzyżna Góra for a vast panorama of the Bóbr Valley, the Jeleniogórska Valley, the Karkonosze Mountains and the Kaczawskie Mountains. On the way (from the Karpnicka Pass), you will reach the historic Szwajcarka hostel (built in 1823 in the Tyrolean style). From there you can also go to the ruins of the Bolczów Castle, which are very impressive. Between the shelter and the ruins of the castle (on the blue trail) you will find Starościńskie Skały - impressive rock formations. By the road that connects them with the ruins of the castle, there is also a Rock Bridge.
In Kamienna Góra, an underground (and very modern) tourist route awaits you - the Arado project - Hitler's lost laboratory. Kamienna Góra was one of the technological centers of the German aviation industry. Textile factories were turned into design offices of the Arado company and the most famous jet plane of World War II - the Arado 234 Blyskawica - was designed there. Guided tours last approximately 50 minutes.
Don't forget that we are very close to the Valley of Palaces and Gardens. Choose something for yourself and go sightseeing and eating delicious cakes, because there are charming cafes in many places. We recommend Krzeszów - the European Baroque Pearl. It is a whole complex of monuments with the possibility of exploring the underground.
Come to Miedzianka (and neighboring Mieszków) on an educational path, preferably preceded by reading the book by Filip Springer “Miedzianka. The Story of Disappearance. Miedzianka is a town that collapsed into the ground in the 1960s due to mining damage. Today, there is a brewery offering craft beers (including Rudawskie, Cycuch Janowicki and Górnik) and a restaurant.
What’s there for children?
Although we do not have typical children's attractions here yet (they are planned), our houses are liked by children and it turns out that the green space, freedom that can be experienced here and close contact with nature are completely sufficient. For the little ones, we have facilities that ensure safety, and the older ones usually get carried away by the creativity unleashed here and have a great time on the green grass, on the large terrace or in the jacuzzi (under the watchful eye of their parents).
Books and board games await children in the cottages. On the plot there is a nice toboggan hill, which gives children a lot of fun in winter.
