Charmed by the Narew River flowing right next to us, in the subtle shade cast by tall pines, we built two wooden houses with a relaxation mission. And we will tell you this: give up all compulsions and within an hour from Warsaw come to the place where sweet doing nothing is at the top of the hierarchy of needs. We ostentatiously manifest relaxation here, but its forms are optional. They can take the form of bathing in a tub, lying in a bed that opens onto a balcony (in a loft house) and enjoying the view of the river, flipping through the pages of a book in a hammock, changing sides on a deckchair or turning sides of eggplant on the grill. However, if you feel the call for adventure - you can sail down the Narew River (we have a kayak and directions for a rental), go for a bike ride (four two-wheelers are ready on site), launch a boat (there is a launching slip) or see what's going on in the nearby open-air museum and at the seasonal swimming pool (head towards Długosiodło).
We invite you. Signed: Relaxation Spokesmen.
We were looking for a place to relax and unwind – and we found one we couldn't resist sharing. A few steps from the Narew River, on a large, green plot in Ostrymół Dworskie (ul. Łukowa 3, 11 Łukowa), we've created a space for true relaxation.
Four cottages with different themes await you: Boho, Loft, Vintage, and Flow. The three larger cottages – Boho, Loft, and Vintage – are each 80 m² and have identical ground-floor layouts: a living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen-dining area with a large table, and a bathroom with a shower. They differ in the layout of the upper floors:
– Boho has one closed-off bedroom and an open-plan space with a sofa bed,
– Loft and Vintage have two closed-off bedrooms – one with a pull-out bed that opens onto a covered balcony overlooking the river, where you can sleep on warm days.
– Flow is a smaller, cozy cottage, perfect for a quiet retreat. Inside, you'll find a kitchen with a living room, a bathroom, and a mezzanine for sleeping. Below the cottage, there's a summer lounge with a jacuzzi.
To ensure your relaxation is truly blissful, we've prepared:
– large terraces next to the cottages with hot tubs, tables, chairs, and gas grills,
– a shared fire pit,
– a slipway and pier for launching a boat or jet ski.
The property is fenced, and the river, pier, and slipway are just steps from the gate. Neighbors are nearby, but thanks to the abundance of trees, they remain almost invisible. Here, you can truly relax.
You can come here and do nothing, enjoy the proximity of the river and reset in the company of nature. However, when we wrote down all the elements of the handy lounge set that we have for you here, we came up with an extensive list. Fortunately, we have complete freedom, you can check off the points in the selected order or choose only a few of them. Whatever you want.
On site you will find:
– terraces with wooden loungers and hot tubs with heated water,
– a few steps from the border of the plot – a pier from which you can fish and a slipway for launching boats or jet skis (you must have your own),
– tables with chairs under a roof on the terrace,
– swings on terraces and hammocks hanging among trees,
– 4 bicycles to get to know the area better (maps with descriptions of the surrounding routes are available in the houses),
– a common wooden fireplace area, where it is pleasant to sit and listen to the sound of a crackling fire.
When it comes to the area, we also have some recommendations for you:
– riverside walks and bird watching – opposite our plot on the Narew River there is an island where many species of birds nest, you can spot: a lapwing, a gray crow, a heron, a reed warbler, a corncrake, a white stork, a black-headed gull, a buzzard, a lark, a starling and a yellow wagtail,
– in Długosiodło there is an outdoor swimming pool open all summer, and next to it – a beach volleyball court and a tennis court, in the village you can also see murals and a colorful house, visit an open-air museum-park and the Jan oak planted around 1481,
– we have one kayak for you, with which you can go rafting down the Narew River, but it will be much more convenient for you to go on an organized rafting trip (the kayak has to be transported back to us somehow) – the rental place is in Rogóźno (the routes have very different lengths, from 2 -hourly from our Ostregokoło Dworski to Rogóźno, 10 km long - routes lasting 5-7 hours),
– in Rogóźno itself you can see the old bed of the Narew River,
– church of St. Anna in Nowy Lubiel is one of five preserved transept churches in Mazovia, located on the Wooden Treasures of Mazovia trail - you will see a wooden baptismal font from the 17th/18th century, a Rococo organ casing from the 2nd half of the 19th century. 18th century and 18th century paintings, and near the church there is a brine graduation tower,
– from Nowy Lubiel to Nowe Łach (seasonally and only on weekends) you can take a ferry – the trip is quite an adventure and provides great impressions,
– in Rząśnik there is a singletrack Bagno Pulwy – a one-way loop with a length of 8.7 km – it was designed by the same team that has the largest network of routes in Europe, i.e. Singletrack Glacensis – there are turns, wooden footbridges, several rapids and crossings wooden logs, and nearby, in the same town, there is also a pumptruck,
– a little further there is charming Pułtusk with the longest paved market square in Europe, a basilica and a castle in the Renaissance style, located on a small hill above the Narew River.
