We made an appointment with the garage construction team in the fall. The gentlemen went to pick up an excavator and never came back to us. That's why we took matters into our own hands and made the bridge, gazebo and vegetable beds ourselves. Piotr did them, to be precise, and I efficiently provided him with subsequent projects. Inside the house there are still renovated chairs and tables. In search of peace, we were taken to Masuria, to the isthmus between lakes Ublik Wielki and Buwełno. A stream flows right next to it, a former canal connecting both reservoirs. This is a good place to start a kayaking trip, a SUP trip or a rowing boat trip (all of them are available on site). We change peace here in all cases and we like how the search for it takes various forms: lying down while watching the clouds or children playing in a wooden house, going to the beach, soaking your feet from the pier, cycling in the wilderness, watching storks and cranes that come into the meadow and bonfires. in the evenings. Calma is inspired by New Zealand, where houses take the shape of various letters. Our "H" gives us shelter when we need it, and also has two apartments for groups of 4 people. Surrounded by forests, fields and meadows, you will find solace, relaxation and regain your spiritual balance here.
Between Orzysz and Giżycko, between the lakes Ublik Wielki and Buwełno, we built a large house with a modern shape. There are two apartments waiting for you - each for 4 people.
In their 45-meter interior you will find:
– two closed bedrooms – one with a double bed, the other with two single beds and a work desk,
– living room with a fold-out sofa and table connected to the kitchenette,
– bathroom with shower.
The apartments are connected by a common corridor, each of them has its own exit to the outside, on opposite sides of the house. There is lounge furniture in front of the house.
The house is surrounded by a huge green area with access to the lake, on which there is an intimate beach with a pier and a swing. We also have a playground for children and a specially prepared place for a bonfire with a gazebo and lights.
We also live in the house - we have a separate entrance. We will be happy to show you our favorite paths and tell you where to eat delicious food. Our two dogs live with us, and our large area is partially fenced, please take this into account if you want to come to us with your canine friends.
On a blanket, on the lawn, on two wheels, on the terrace, on a swing, on a pier, on the beach, on a SUP, in a boat or in a kayak. This is how you can relax with us. Our H-shaped house is located on a canal connecting not only two lakes - Ublik Wielki and Lake Buwełno, but also two communes: Wyszowate and Ublik. Through the canal, which resembles a stream, you can set out to explore the area on a rowing boat, SUP board or kayaks that are waiting on site. By bike, you can take the marked routes or wander around the surrounding forests (you must take your bikes with you). And in the evening, light a fire and sit together in the atmospheric gazebo. On the private beach you will find a pier, a swing and nice sand to lie on.
Our areas are called the Switzerland of Ozyska, and their values were appreciated already before World War I. We are 10 km to Orzysz and 20 km to Giżycko. Our immediate surroundings are the villages of Ublik, Cierzpieńy, Paprotki and Przykop. All worth walking or viewing from the perspective of two wheels. The houses are surrounded by meadows, fields, wilderness and forests on the lakes: Buwełno, Wojnowo, Ublik Mały and Ublik Wielki. The latter two are connected by a very well-preserved former German tunnel, which was created during the construction of the railway embankment (which ran the line connecting Orzysz with Giżycko). The locals call it the tunnel of love. Due to its unique color, Lake Ublik Mały is called emerald or green.
We recommend cyclists to ride around lakes, on small asphalt, gravel and field roads, and to discover virgin, tourist and historical places. Once there, we will be happy to show you our favorite routes. For example, you can go on a trip to the atmospheric Stara Kuźnia restaurant, which is located on the bicycle route between Miłki and Marcinowa Wola. Other places where you can go on trips are: the port in Rydzewo, Śniardwy, and maybe even Mikołajki.
For nature lovers, we recommend a trip to the Bagno Nietlickie nature reserve - the largest and only such well-preserved low peat bog in the Masurian Lake District. It is also the largest refuge for migratory and non-breeding cranes in Poland. During your walk you can also spot otters, beavers and even moose.
For fans of holidays in the saddle: Ferenstain stud farm in Gałków. There you can experience galloping across the river, trotting through meadows and galloping in the paddock.
What’s there for children?
Each apartment has two separate bedrooms, one for parents and the other for children. In our large green area for children there is not only plenty of space for running, rolling and hiding in the grass, but also a playground among the trees with a wooden house, a slide and a swing, and next to the house - a climbing wall and a sandbox. Children will also like the beach by the lake - there is plenty of sand, a pier, and the water is perfect for wading, soaking and playing in the water.
What’s there for employees?
In the smaller bedrooms (with two beds) there are work desks. The Internet is not the speed master, but it allows you to work freely and hold online meetings.
