Here, where the Bug flows into the Narew, Hatta stands between pines and junipers. A home for those hungry for rest, for regeneration, for nourishing contact with nature. You can indulge in renewing activities here - lounging, reading, communing with art and beautiful objects, enjoying and feasting. Everything as a duo, family or in a group of 4. I created Hatta for myself to escape from the city and quickly return to Warsaw on Monday morning, because it takes three quarters of an hour to get to the capital. I watched the sun move in the sky to plan the positioning of the windows. Half of the house is covered with glass, through which you can see the pine and birch forest, and from the windows on the mezzanine, the sky and the tops of coniferous trees, many of which are over 100 years old. I had to keep them all. Together with the junipers, they guarantee private aromatherapy sessions, which you can take on terraces or lying on a mattress with a canopy among the trees. 1,800 photos saved on Pinterest were an inspiration for interiors filled with art, design and aesthetic delights. In Popowo-Letnisko I found my door to Narnia. I open it to you, take shelter in the green land where it is good all year round.
Welcome to Popowo-Letnisko, a colony located 45 minutes from the capital. There is a wooden Hatta here with the shape of a modern barn and the size of a tiny house. You need to know about it:
– although the area is small, it impresses with its spaciousness,
– has 35 m² of ground floor and 20 m² of mezzanine,
– and in front – two covered terraces constituting almost twice the area of the house,
– on the mezzanine there are roof windows allowing you to look at the sky and the forest,
– almost half of the house is glazed, which makes Hatta bright and full of sun, and also warm thanks to underfloor heating,
– ground floor windows can be covered with adjustable wooden blinds,
– the interiors are filled with nice objects, carefully selected accessories from proven brands and artists, and ceramics to celebrate every coffee and every meal.
On the ground floor there is: a cozy living room with a sofa and a fireplace, a kitchenette, a table with chairs and a bathroom with a shower. And on the mezzanine, accessed by stairs, there is an open space with a double bed and a bunk bed and two hammocks where you can relax in the evenings and take a nap during the day. The protection is provided by a net.
The house is year-round and secluded. It is surrounded by 3.5 thousand square meters of private forest, which is part of the White Forest. It is close to the Narew and Bug rivers, and in the vicinity there is also the Zegrze Reservoir.
On the edge of the White Forest, where the Bug flows into the Narew River, there is a summer resort called Popowo. And in it, on 3,500 meters of private forest, among dozens of pines, many of which are over a hundred years old, there is a house where you can relax nicely. There are juniper bushes with health-promoting properties and a glade full of berries that you can enjoy during the season.
At home and in the immediate vicinity, I recommend:
– wandering around the White Forest, along forest paths that get tangled under your feet,
– trips to two rivers on the edge of the forest – Narew and Bug,
– visiting one of the small sandy beaches and sitting on the sand,
– looking at the pine crowns and the sky from the mezzanine windows,
– sunset walks,
– endless reading with a possible change of position from the deckchairs/rockers on the terrace to a mattress with a canopy on the second terrace,
– naps in hammocks on the mezzanine (without any remorse) or those hanging among the trees,
– breakfasts, lunches and queues outdoors and organizing small parties at any time,
– bonfire in the evenings,
– meditation with birds singing,
– yoga on the terrace (bring your mats),
– trips to clearings full of heather.
Biała Forest
Perfect for jogging, walking and cycling. There are picturesque meadows here, the forests are dominated by pine and birch, and the undergrowth is dominated by blueberries (blackberry and lingonberry), glossy grove, heather and rocket. Tall trees are ideal protection against wind and noise, and thanks to the young pine trees, the air is full of essential oils. There are also two nature reserves in the area: Wąwóz Szaniawskiego (with the remains of a manor house that once belonged to the writer's family) and Stawinoga, located right next to the Narew riverbed, with a centuries-old oak tree and an old, brick fishery in its area. Part of the second reserve is part of the special bird protection area "Puszcza Biała", which means that you can go bird watching here and look out for: whooper swans, ducks - marmoset and coot, grebes, grebes, black-tailed godwits, water owls, corncrakes, bluethroats, curlews or sea buckthorn.
Water and rafting
You can kayak both on the Bug and Narew rivers. We are also close to Zegrze Reservoir, but it can be crowded and noisy during the season. However, there are places in the area with a completely different character - quiet, peaceful and intimate. For example, go to Lake Przerzaniec, which is a fragment of the old Wieprz River bed.
Bicycles
Take your bikes with you and go straight ahead or on one of the nearby routes. The blue eastern Łacha-Łacha trail is 18.3 km long and largely leads through forests and meadows along the Narew and Bug rivers. There is also a yellow Serock trail of 35.5 km of natural and historical nature. On the route, among others: the palace and park complex in Jadwisin, the ruins of the Szaniawski manor house and the Wierzbica nature reserve.
Horses
There is a stud farm (Stable Hetmanówka) near the house.
What’s there for employees?
Although there is no desk here, there are several pleasant spaces to work. The Internet works flawlessly, so if you come here for work or a need, there will be no problem. You can sit with your computer at the table inside, on the sofa, on the mezzanine or on one of the terraces. You can also take your laptop to the forest, because the range is also several meters from the house.
