Lwówek Śląski is a walled city. One of the oldest in Lower Silesia, surrounded by stone fortifications in the form of two rings with gate towers, so unusual that they evoke associations with Carcassonne. After the reconstruction, the inner ring consisted of 23 rectangular shell towers, 15 of which have survived to this day. In one of them there is a house with a yellow door that will lead you to a bright interior in pastel colors, with a wooden staircase in the center and blue stairs reaching three levels. From here you can look at the plantations, bathe in a cast-iron bathtub, bask in the sauna, listen to music while sitting in a comfortable armchair, read a book in a hammock, prepare a feast, and drink coffee on the terrace overlooking the garden. The house will provide shelter for five people, who will also have the pleasure of interacting with restored furniture collected all over Europe, exquisite paintings and an interior that looks like something out of a fairy tale. There are no right angles or obvious things here. There are numerous surprises, the uniqueness of staying in the tower and sleeping within the walls, which, if they could, would tell a whole lot of fascinating stories. You can feel it here.
In the very center of Lwówek Śląski, called the lion's city, there is a house where nothing is obvious. The yellow door will take you to the three-level interior of the house within the walls (in the tower, to be precise) with a wooden staircase, a cast-iron bathtub, an orangery, a view of the plantations and an ancient oak tree, and its own garden.
On the ground floor:
– after entering, you will see an openwork armchair and a grate in the floor, which you need to watch out for,
– on the right you will find a bathroom with a shower and a sauna, and next to it there is a space with armchairs, a goat and a hammock-swing (this is the relaxation zone next to the sauna).
On the first level there is a living room with a sofa bed, two armchairs, a selection of books and a loudspeaker, and next to it there is a kitchen with a large table.
On the second level there is: a bathroom with a bathtub and a large bedroom space with a double bed, a single couch and an open room with a fold-out sofa, as well as a dressing table with a chair where you can work.
From the relaxation zone with the sofa and the goat, you go out to the terrace and then down the stairs to the fenced space around the house.
The house has some surprises, which we will tell you about when we hand over the keys. There are no right angles in the interior, there are bright colors, large spaces, carefully selected accessories, restored furniture and windows, wooden floors and lots of stone.
Welcome to the interior of a house in a tower that dates back to the Middle Ages. Lwówek is one of the oldest cities in Poland (with city rights from 1217), which, although now has less than 10,000 inhabitants, was once one of the largest cities in Lower Silesia. Today it is a charming town with probably the oldest brewery in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe, a walking alley on the other side of the walls and city defensive walls, which make Lwówek sometimes called the Polish Carcassonne. Lwówek is located in the Bóbr Valley, which opens the way to trips to Wleń, Pilchowice and Siedlęcin.
What is worth seeing in Lwówek itself?
The old town, surrounded by plantations (you will be able to admire them from the windows), has preserved its spatial layout with narrow streets and historic stones. Also worth seeing is the town hall with a wedding hall decorated with fairy tale characters painted by artists from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in 1905 and a dungeon.
In the vicinity of the house there is a Franciscan monastery complex with the church of St. Francis of Assisi and the Pentecostal Church. A walk around the neighborhood provides visual pleasures. It is also worth discovering all the secrets of the walls and seeing the preserved towers, as well as visiting the Black Tower (once an evangelical church, today a viewing point and a beer hall).
Lwówek Agate Summer, taking place in July. It is a celebration of Earth's treasure hunters - an open-air, international exchange of minerals and jewelry on the city square.
We recommend to your attention in the area:
– a route along the Lwówek Rock Forms trail, where you can see Panieńskie Skały and Lwówek Szwajcaria – interesting rock formations and labyrinths with cliffs up to 30 meters high, from which you can admire the surroundings (the walk there will take you about 20 minutes),
– viewing the panorama of Lwówek from the viewpoint on Szpitalna Góra or Skalica (Popelberg).
– bikes along the route to Pławna Dolna or the other way to Lwówek,
– kayaking trips in the Bóbr Valley, e.g. from Wleń to Lwówek, from Wleń to Przeździedza, and also on the Kwisa River,

– ski resorts (Świeradów Zdrój, Szklarska Poręba, Karpacz) and Czech resorts.
What’s there for employees?
Although the walls are thick, the internet is fast and hassle-free. In the bedroom space there is a dressing table that you can use as a desk, in the kitchen there is a large table, and you can also catch the signal on the terrace.
