I am a professionally active knight. Therefore, you can take my word for it that I will not let you into the canal when I tell you about the not the smallest, five-hectare piece of land on the Elbląg Canal. It will be the honest truth, as befits a knight. Our canal was once called the Oberland Canal, because the areas between Ostróda, Iława and Pasłęk, an hour's drive from Gdańsk and two hours from Warsaw, are the areas of former Upper Prussia, i.e. Oberland. Each of the 6 tents we have here for you, with its interior, refers to the history or nature of these lands. You will be able to get to know them even better from the stories of Mr. Czesław, who is a lockkeeper and can take you on a lifeboat cruise to Ostróda. You can also go there by kayak from our marina. You can stop on the terrace with a cup of coffee to look at the Taborskie Forests stretching on the other side, then take a walk to the hot tub or sauna, cook dinner in the summer kitchen, and in the evening enjoy a bonfire. By the stream, which is the natural border of the plot, we have a swimming pool one meter deep, perfect for children. There is also a natural playground for them with a real lifeboat and a playroom in the barn. Everything together makes our place the one that families like to choose. We tried to think of everything, even the reception and electric car chargers. What is certain is that you won't have to invent activities here, you will just choose them.
Just over 2 hours from Warsaw, an hour from Gdańsk, on the Elbląg (Oberland) Canal and with a view of the Taborskie Forests, we have 5 hectares of land for you, with 6 tents on them. Their layout is identical, with different decorations and references to the turbulent history and beautiful nature of the former Oberland.
Each of them is 54 m² and equipped with:
– two separate bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds),
– kitchenette,
– spacious bathroom with shower,
– lounge area with a fold-out sofa,
– 13-meter terrace overlooking the Elbląg Canal,
Each tent can comfortably accommodate 4 people, but thanks to the fold-out sofa, six people can also sleep there.
On our premises you will also have:
– summer kitchen with gas grill, oven and dishwasher,
– a playroom in the barn, which can also become a cinema room,
- electric vehicles for the youngest to explore the area (jeep, tractor and two sports cars),
- kayak rental,
- POLO VOLT electric two-wheeler rental,
- beach volleyball court,
– SPA zone with sauna and hot tub,
– place for a bonfire,
– gazebo on the hill,
– parking lot with a charger for electric cars,
– reception, thanks to which you will be fully taken care of.
The tents are located 10 meters from the shoreline of the Elbląg Canal. On the other side of the canal there are the Taborskie Forests.
We are dog-loving, but we let you know that our dogs - Brudek and Smrodek - appear on the premises, as well as wild animals.
On the day of arrival, a fridge full of delicacies, including local specialties, may be waiting for you. Before your arrival, we will send you a survey in which you will be able to choose and order products tailored to your dietary preferences. You can also order a takeaway meal or take a walk through the forest (or drive) to the Piławki Inn, where they serve delicious food. There is also a Kanka restaurant 6 km away, and a 15-minute drive by car to the promenade in Ostróda with a rich gastronomic offer. There is a well-stocked shop 1 km away.
Don't forget that each tent apartment has its own kitchen where you can enjoy culinary delights, and that there is a huge summer kitchen waiting for you on site, where you will find, among others: gas grill, oven, gas stove, dishwasher, etc. For evening meals, we recommend fireplaces equipped with a grate.
Whether you are bored or not, we are the perfect place where, on 5 hectares of land, at your disposal: 250 meters of coastline, beach, kayak rental, beach volleyball court, SPA with hot tub and sauna, bonfire place, an outdoor playground, a barn playroom and a romantic corner.
We are located between Ostróda, Iława and Pasłęk, in the area of former Upper Prussia, i.e. Oberland, through which the Elbląg Canal flows. In our part, the canal runs through the oxbow lake of the Liva River, so it has a natural character. Remember to wave from the terrace to the flowing canal - this is a tradition. You can sail along the canal in a kayak from our rental and go to Ostróda. On the way you will pass old bridges and Lake Drwęckie. The water has virtually no current and there are no fallen trees.
Liwa is not only a river, but also a village that you can visit during your stay with us. It was once called Bieberswalde and the landscape office was located here, whose representative decided on the location and appearance of new buildings. Thanks to this, you can still admire the beautiful, although unfortunately neglected architecture of the former Masurian village.
You can walk as much as you want in the meadows, the lakes surrounding us or in the forests. When you go for a walk there, you will have the opportunity to admire old pines, beeches, birches, oaks and other wonderful trees. The average age of the tree stands is 70 years. In our immediate vicinity runs the first European Cultural Trail - Camino de Santiago (The Way of Saint James), marked with the symbol of a yellow shell on a navy blue background.
If you want lakes, there are plenty of them in the area. The closest to us is the Silver Lake with crystal clear water, hidden deep in the forest. The blue route leading to this lake will be perfect for runners. For lovers of water entertainment, we recommend Lake Drwęckie with rich infrastructure, a pier and numerous attractions. Sailing enthusiasts will be delighted with Lake Narie. There is also the fairy-tale Ilińskie Lake, surrounded by the Taborskie Forests. They are crossed by a causeway on which tracks connecting Ostróda and Morąg once ran. Currently, there is a picturesque hiking trail and a wonderful beach. Ilińskie is part of the Elbląg Canal route.
The nearest large beaches are: the city beach in Miłomłyn, the beach at the Karnity Palace, the city beach in Ostróda, the beach at Lake Szeląg Wielki and the beach on the island on Lake Drwęckie, which can be reached by boat or kayak. In addition, there are countless wild beaches near smaller and larger lakes.
You can go on a lifeboat cruise from a Soviet tanker along the Elbląg Canal to Ostróda or Miłomłyn with the lockkeeper, Mr. Czesław. You can start the cruise from the Zielona Lock, just a few minutes' walk from us.
Nearby there is the Sosny Taborskie nature reserve, where several hundred-year-old pines grow, reaching up to 30-40 meters in height. For shipbuilders, they were a unique material for construction, among others. masts of sailing ships.
During your stay with us, you will be able to discover one of the most beautiful bicycle routes - the Prussian Trail, running, among others, near Lake Srebrne Duże, Iłga, Tynwałd and Jeziorak. It leads largely through the forests of the Oberland - it is a great trip to the areas of ancient Prussia. The route includes attractions including: two locks of the Elbląg Canal: Zielona and Miłomłyn.
You can go to the Teutonic Castle in Ostróda, and also visit the days of the Battle of Grunwald, which take place in the summer. We also recommend visiting the castles on the Gothic route and visiting Przemark, Szymbark, Ostróda, and Malbork.
The Miłomłyn commune, where we are located, has the status of a health resort - you will be delighted with the purity of the local air. In Miłomłyn itself, you can visit the brine graduation tower.
What’s there for children?
We have 5 hectares for children to play, explore and get excited about. For the youngest we have:
– a playroom in the barn filled with toys,
- POLO VOLT electric two-wheeler rental with a specially prepared track,
– swimming pool (1 m deep) located at the mouth of the stream,
– beach volleyball court,
– space to play ball,
– kayaks (there is a marina and kayak rental on our premises),
– outdoor playground with an old, real lifeboat and swings,
- sandpit.
We have prepared fantastic electric vehicles for children, in which they can travel around our area.
What’s there for employees?
Peace and quiet, coffee on the terrace - this is how you can start your working day with us if you come for a work break. The Internet works nicely, but we must warn you that it is difficult not to be enchanted by the area and not to stare, for example, at the ships passing through the canal.
