Chalupa u Manišov 

Hi, I'm Silvia. I moved to and fell in love with Turco almost 20 years ago. Those undulating meadows and fields surrounded by the walls of Veľká and Mala Fatra, those walks, hikes, views and history at every corner... I studied tourism and have been working in it since my student days and I still enjoy it :) I just from hotels, apartments and restaurants to our cottage. She is over 160 years old and has been part of her husband's family for 30 years. My husband's father created a wonderful place from the garden around it, and two years ago we decided to renovate the cottage as well. But so that we preserve her spirit. to combine the old and magical with the new and comfortable. We considered every piece of furniture, had it made from old wood (e.g. from the old beams of the cottage:) and we also left the original inscription about the year of its foundation in the interior. We renovated it more or less by ourselves, I painted every piece of wood (yes, even the entire cladding of the facade :) with my own hands, I learned how to patina old furniture, we had clay plasters made, wooden floors on grates, my husband made stone windowsills, a worktop in kitchens, bathrooms and we mainly used natural materials. And I think we succeeded in creating a place full of well-being, a cottage (not a cottage) surrounded by a wonderful garden. And I will be happy if I can introduce this place to you too :)
