Our terrace begins one hundred meters from the lake shoreline. When you get down, you have to wade through the grass, which is sometimes mowed by friendly horses, then climb a dozen or so stone steps and you can look at the incredibly clear waters. They belong to Lake Hańcza, whose name comes from the no longer existing Jaćwiński language. A similar-sounding word in it meant duck. A lot of them live in the East Suwałki Lake District, where a house was built with milled gable decorations, huge windows inviting nature inside, six bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a huge living space, a cinema and recreation room in the basement and a bathing room with a bathtub from which you can go out to the terrace. . There is a table for serving breakfast and dinner, as well as a jacuzzi and a hot tub for deep relaxation. Because that's what we have here - relaxing, romantic, friendly for children, nice for friends and acquaintances, convenient if you come with a team to work. You can hide away, celebrate intimately and rest for all time. See how good it is in a house by the lake, which stands alone, completely without neighbors.
On a hill, overlooking Lake Hańcza and only 100 meters from it, there is a wooden house for a large family, a group of friends or those who want to hide in a charming place with their team and work.
On 330 m² you will find:
– 6 separate bedrooms (4 are upstairs, 2 downstairs) with bathrooms,
– on the ground floor: a living room with comfortable sofas, a very large table with benches and a spacious kitchen,
– recreational area in the basement with: fireplace, cinema corner, 98-inch TV, darts and two sofas,
– laundry room with washing machine and clothes dryer,
– playroom for children,
– toilet.
Each bedroom has two single beds that can be joined into one, measuring 200x200 cm. One of the bedrooms on the ground floor has a bathroom with a bathtub and direct access to the terrace.
The 90 m² terrace has two parts - a covered part with two large tables with benches and a sofa-chair on wheels, and an uncovered part - ideal for sunbathing in the summer. We have an 8-person jacuzzi (available outside the winter season) and a year-round hot tub.
We have our own coastline, approximately 100 meters long, on Lake Hańcza. There is a pier and several benches above the water. We also have a fireplace for you. However, we have no neighbors and our area is pet-friendly.
We are not a place for big parties and we do not agree to organize stag parties here.
When I visited the Suwałki region for the first time, it reminded me of Masuria. There are also plenty of lakes here, but they are hidden in every depression and almost every hill - because these areas are undulating like the Carpathian Mountains. In addition to lakes, we have fields where brown cows graze, endless meadows for walking, forests perfect for forest bathing, as well as silence and intimacy that are hard to find anywhere else. You get the impression that nothing has changed here for years, you can experience complete silence and take care of your relationships by taking refuge in a house that can accommodate a group of up to 12 people.
We have made sure that you will be as comfortable here as possible. We focused on natural materials (partially recycled), handmade furniture, large bathrooms with showers for two, hotel bedding and bathrobes. We enlarged the windows as much as possible so that you can admire the view and feel part of the nature surrounding us. And we are surrounded only by it, because we have no neighbors. The only people who come to us are deer, sometimes a herd of brown cows, which we invite to graze, or horses, which are our lawn mowers.
You can here:
– hold feasts on the terrace,
– take a bath in a jacuzzi or hot tub (depending on the season),
– in winter, you can also swim in Hańcza,
– soak your feet in the lake from a private pier,
– order a session in a mobile sauna or a massage,
– warm up by the fireplace,
– relax in the bathtub,
– organize movie nights,
– light a fire in the designated place,
– walk through the groves,
– organize a barbecue dinner,
– go mushroom picking,
– swim in the lake,
– sunbathe on the terrace or pier.
Our immediate area is a paradise for kayakers. You can go rafting down Czarna Hańcza or Szeszupa, and then through the lakes: Gulbin, Okrągłe, Krejwelek, Przechodnie, Postawelek and finish the route on Lake Pobondzie. When you feel like doing more, from Pobondzie you can sail to Rutka Tartak, then Wiżajny, Potopy, Poszeszupie and then reach the border.
The house is located very close to the Bachanowo boulder field, a nature reserve in the Czarna Hańcza Valley. It is a fragment of a meadow with approximately 10,000 stones transported by the glacier and placed on 4 terraces. You can also meet animals there, because the reserve area is used as a pasture.
In Smolniki there is a viewing point to admire the panorama immortalized in "Pan Tadeusz" by Wajda and "Dolina Issa" by Konwicki. From a height of 225 m above sea level you can admire the north-eastern part of the Suwałki Landscape Park, the lakes: Kojle, Perty and Purwin, and in the distance the mountains: Jesionowa, Krzemieniecha and Cisowa. They call the latter the Fujiyama of Suwałki, because when viewed from a distance it resembles a volcano.
Turtul, the seat of the Suwałki Landscape Park and the hamlet of the village of Malesowizna, is one of the oldest settlement places in the Suwałki region. A mill operated there since the 17th century, and the name itself comes from the miller's surname (turtuolis). Today you can see the ruins of the mill there and the miller's house from the 1930s standing next to it.
Go to the molenna in Wodzilki, i.e. the village of the Old Believers. This is one of the few Old Believer temples still functioning in Podlasie. It dates back to 1921, and the village itself was founded in 1788.
The Polish Cold Pole is a treat for winter sports enthusiasts. Due to the microclimate that this part of Poland owes to the glacier, winters are frosty, snowy and sometimes last over 100 days. You can go cross-country skiing, sledding and skiing here. Jesionowa Mountain on Lake Szelment Wielki has 10 ski slopes of varying degrees of difficulty. There is also a ski and snowboard school on a separate part of the slope.
An interesting fact is that at the turn of June and July you can experience white nights, when the sun does not fully set. This means that you can spend the most Scandinavian holiday in Poland here!
What’s there for children?
Children can roll on the grass, watch the cows grazing nearby and go to the lake day after day to enjoy waterside pleasures - swimming in the lake and playing on the pier. They definitely won't be bored here!
For the youngest, we created a special playroom in the basement filled with toys, books, board games, blocks and puzzles.
What’s there for employees?
You can work at home! There are desks in four rooms, we also have 3 huge tables (one inside and two outside), and wifi is available throughout the house, including the basement, where there is a 98-inch TV, perfect for showing presentations.
