Our terrace begins just beyond the shoreline of the lake. Coming down from it, you have to wade in the grass, which sometimes comes to mow friendly horses, then overcome stone steps and you can already look at the incredibly clear waters. They belong to Lake Hańcza, whose name comes from the no longer existing Yotvin language. A similar-sounding word in it meant a duck. Quite a few of them live in the East Suwałki Lakeland, where a house with milled gable decorations, huge windows inviting nature inside, six bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a huge living space, a cinema and recreation room in the basement and a bathroom with a bathtub from which you can go out to the terrace. And on it, a table for serving breakfast and dinner awaits you, as well as a jacuzzi and a tub for experiencing deep relaxation. Because that's what we have here - relaxing, romantic, friendly for children, nice for friends and acquaintances, convenient if you come with a team to work. You can hide away, celebrate in private and relax for all time. See for yourself how good it is in a house by the lake, which stands here alone, completely without neighbors.
On a hill, overlooking Lake Hańcza and only 100 meters from it, there is a wooden house for a large family, a group of friends or acquaintances, as well as those who want to hide away in a charming place with their team and work.
On 330 m² you will find:
- 6 separate bedrooms (4 upstairs, 2 downstairs) with bathrooms,
- on the ground floor: a living room with comfortable sofas, a very large table with benches and a spacious kitchen,
- a recreational area in the basement with: a fireplace, a cinema corner, a 98-inch TV, darts and two sofas,
- a laundry room with a washing machine and a clothes dryer,
- a playroom for children,
- a toilet.
Each bedroom has two single beds that can be combined into one 200x200 cm. In one of the bedrooms on the ground floor there is a bathroom with a bathtub and direct access to the terrace.
The 90 m² terrace has two parts - a covered one with two large tables with benches and a sofa bed on wheels and an uncovered one - ideal for lounging in the summer. We have an 8-person jacuzzi for you (available outside the winter season) and a year-round tub.
We have our own, approximately 100-meter shoreline on Lake Hańcza. There is a pier and several benches above the water surface. We also have a place for a bonfire. However, we do not have neighbors, and our area is pet-friendly.
We are not a place for loud parties and we do not agree to organize stag parties here.
However, we are a good choice for a business and training trip (separate beds and bathrooms, catering possible, huge TV for presentations).
When I first visited Suwałki Region, it reminded me of Masuria. There are plenty of lakes here too, but they are hidden in every depression and almost behind every hill – because these areas are undulating like the Carpathian Mountains. In addition to the lakes, we have fields where brown cows graze, endless meadows for walking, forests ideal for forest bathing, as well as silence and intimacy that are hard to find anywhere else. You get the impression that nothing has changed here for years, you can experience complete silence and take care of your relationships, sheltering in a house that can accommodate up to 12 people.
We made sure that you would be as comfortable here as possible under the sun. We focused on natural materials (partly recycled), handmade furniture, large bathrooms with showers for two, hotel bedding and bathrobes. We made the windows as big as possible so that you could admire the view and feel part of the nature surrounding us. And we are surrounded only by it, because we have no neighbors. Only deer come to us, sometimes a herd of brown cows, which we invite to graze, or horses, which are our lawnmowers.
Here you can:
- throw feasts on the terrace,
- take a bath in the jacuzzi or tub (depending on the season),
- in winter, additionally swim in the Hańcza,
- soak your feet in the lake from the private jetty,
- swing on the swing above the lake or look into the distance from one of the benches,
- order a session in the mobile sauna or a massage,
- warm yourself by the fireplace,
- relax in the bathtub,
- organize film evenings (we have a cinema corner with a 98'' TV),
- light a bonfire in a designated place,
- walk through the groves,
- organize a barbecue for dinner,
- make a bonfire on the fireplace overlooking the water,
- go mushroom picking,
- swim in the lake,
- sunbathe on deckchairs on the terrace or in jetty,
- sit on a giant sofa with cushions on the terrace,
- play board games, billiards, darts.

Our immediate surroundings are a paradise for kayakers. You can organize a trip down Czarna Hańcza or Szeszupa, and then through the lakes: Gulbin, Okrągłe, Krejwelek, Przechodnie, Postawelek and finish the route on Lake Pobondzie. When you feel like doing more, from Pobondzie you can sail to Rutka Tartak, then Wiżajny, Potopy, Poszeszupie and sail to the border.
The house is located very close to the Bachanowo boulder field, a nature reserve in the Czarna Hańcza valley. It is a part of a meadow with approx. 10,000 stones, transported by the glacier and placed on 4 terraces. You can also see animals there, because the reserve is used as a pasture.
In Smolniki there is a viewpoint to admire the panorama, which was immortalized in Wajda's "Pan Tadeusz" and Konwicki's "The Issa Valley". From a height of 225 m above sea level you can admire the north-eastern part of the Suwałki Landscape Park, lakes: Kojle, Perty and Purwin and in the distance the mountains: Jesionowa, Krzemieniucha and Cisowa. The latter is called the Suwałki Fujiyama, because seen from a distance it resembles a volcano.
Turtul, the seat of the Suwałki Landscape Park and a hamlet of the village of Malesowizna, is one of the oldest settlements in the Suwałki Region. A mill has been operating there since the 17th century, and the name itself comes from the name of the miller (turtuolis). Today, you can see the ruins of the mill and the miller's house from the 1930s standing next to it.
Go to the molenna in Wodziłki, or the village of the Old Believers. It is one of the few still functioning Old Believer temples in Podlasie. It dates back to 1921, and the village itself was founded in 1788.
The Polish Cold Pole is a treat for winter sports enthusiasts. Thanks to the microclimate, which this part of Poland owes to the glacier, winters are frosty, snowy and sometimes last over 100 days. So you can go cross-country skiing, sledding and skiing. Góra Jesionowa by Lake Szelment Wielki has 7 ski slopes of varying difficulty. There is also a skiing and snowboarding school on a separate part of the slope.
An interesting fact is that at the turn of June and July you can experience white nights here, when the sun does not set completely. This means you can spend the most Scandinavian holiday in Poland!
What’s there for children?
Children can roll around in the grass, watch the cows grazing nearby and march to the lake every day to indulge in waterside pleasures – swimming in the lake and playing on the jetty. They definitely won't get bored here!
For the youngest, we have created a special playroom in the basement filled with toys, books, board games, blocks and puzzles.
Sleigh rides in winter and ski school for beginners (30 min. from us) are possible.
