This story did not happen beyond the seven mountains, nor beyond the seven seas, nor in any other more or less fairy-tale setting. The place of the action is the Masovian land, and the heroes are the generation of Polish nobility, a 19th-century manor house and the remains of a moat around it, a brick house and a Polish-English couple who, with great courage, save this property from oblivion. Property that changed hands. From the Jasieńczyk family, through the Oborski and Dąbrowski families, to the Szweycer family. In the Polish People's Republic, the manor was the seat of a cooperative of agricultural circles. Today, the estate covers approximately 5 hectares, which are a haven for relaxation. After a labor-intensive renovation, we handed over the distillery's brick house, and now we are offering two apartments located within the manor walls. You can take a break from the city and clear your head there, alone or as a couple. Drink coffee in the company of an old brick and open the windows to a beautiful park with a pond and old trees, where squirrels live in the crowns of chestnut and walnut trees, during breakfast you can come face to face with a deer, during a walk you can meet a pheasant and observe the traces of hungry beavers. We invite you to our enchanted garden, where the new neighbors the really old, and unknown stories come to light.
We invite you to the palace and park complex, where there is a 19th-century manor house. The estate in Kuflew covers approximately 13 hectares, which, in addition to the manor, also includes: the Czerwony Domek, i.e. the former distillery house, the ruins of the former stable, the building of the agronomy school and part of the park with the column of St. Antoni, which was founded by Countess Weronika Dąbrowska in gratitude for expelling the Russians from her estate in 1864.
Situated on a hill, surrounded by an old park, the manor house has been partially restored. We have two apartments for you. One is a studio for a couple or a single person, whose 28-meter interior includes: a kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. The second one is a 68-meter apartment with a separate bedroom with a large double bed, a living room with a fold-out sofa and a fireplace, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower.
In front of the house there are 2 large ponds with trees, reeds and ducks. You can fish there. A long avenue among trees leads to the public park behind the house, which covers 17 hectares.
We also have an impressive tent (set up from May 1 to September 30) for 30-60 people, which is located in the field in front of the manor, next to the ponds. You can organize an intimate party there, have a family barbecue or a bonfire. Together with our second place - Czerwony Domek (slowhop.com/pl/miejsca/1250-krzyw-domek.html), we have a total of 12 accommodation places.
There are markets in Mrozy (every Friday in the morning), Cegłów (on Saturday morning) and Latowicz, where you can buy vegetables and fruit from local farmers, eggs, meat, cheese, all at good prices. When you return, you can turn these delicacies into delicious dishes. Preparing them will be easy thanks to the fully equipped, large kitchen in the house. The village center with 2 grocery stores is a short walk from the property.
On our premises, we have a separate place for a bonfire, you will also have a barbecue at your disposal.
If cooking and holidays do not go hand in hand, the nearest pubs are in Cegłów (5 km). There we recommend Epulo grill & a bar where you can eat tasty food and drink beer and wine. The pub is located in the local market.
In our oasis near Warsaw, in the Natura 2000 area, there is space for walks, sightseeing, bicycle trips and a break from the city. Guests come to us with ambitious plans to discover local attractions, and end up reading books at home, wandering around the manor park, and revealing the secrets of the manor and stables. Everything within the estate, because the area of the Kuflewski estate is extraordinary. This is a place for people who want to take a break from the city within the historic walls of a 19th-century manor house where the studio is located.
Get to know a piece of unknown chronicle:
The manor was probably built in the second half of the 19th century for the Szweycer family. At the end of the 18th century, the Kuflew estate and its surroundings belonged to Jan Meisner, from whom he purchased them in 1793. The history of the estate is long and complicated, including the explosion of a vodka factory, hiding Jews, the landing of war planes and the history of the Dąbrowski family. After World War II, the Municipal Public Library, a health center and apartments were located here.
The area surrounding the Manor is almost 5 hectares, the remains of an extensive landscape park from the early 19th century with two linden alleys and specimens of oaks and hornbeams. There are ponds, a stable and a distillery owner's house - Czerwony Domek, which can be found on a separate profile (https://slowhop.com/pl/miejsca/1250-krzyw-domek.html).
We consider laziness to be a sport that promotes relaxation, so there is no TV in the studio. It is an intimate place to reset your head as a couple or alone. We have bicycles for you, but please let us know if you would like to equip them in a message before your arrival. The 17-hectare park at your fingertips is a perfect space for walking or jogging. We also have a dedicated place for a bonfire, and you can fish in two fish ponds. There is a riding stable in the neighboring village (Cegłów). There are mushroom forests nearby. Both Mrozy and Cegłów are within a 10-minute drive.
At a distance of 3 km there is the village of Jeruzal (Wilkowyje), known from the TV series Ranczo. There is a famous shop with a bench and a shop selling Mamrot wine, the favorite drink of the production's heroes.
