We assume that you know that feeling when you cross the threshold of a house and know that it is your place. We felt it here, near the forest in Kaszewiec, an hour and a quarter of an hour from Warsaw. Initially, we were looking for a space to escape and to be a guest in Podlasie. By chance, we fell in love with this hidden village in Masovia. You will probably find everything you need to escape the city, even with a group of eight people and a dog. Large windows letting nature in - one of them looks like a painting changing with the seasons, and in the evening it can turn into a cinema screen. Terrace with a solid wood table for breakfast, work, board games and watching the sunset. Four comfortable bedrooms with double beds. A green garden, carefully planned close to the house, further away - wild and natural. A well-thought-out and functional space, high interiors filled with eye-pleasing objects. So that you can indulge yourself here in forgetting about what awaits somewhere else. Immerse yourself in the sounds of music flowing from the gramophone, sink into the couch cushions, listen to the crackle of the fireplace, read endlessly. You can also go for a walk in the forest, hit the nearby roads, or take a walk along the Narew River. But sometimes there is no need at all. There is only one thing left to do - hit the road. We are waiting for you in the forest.
An hour and a half's drive from the capital, you'll find a spacious house surrounded by greenery, bordered by a forest and the Narew River.
In its 150-square-meter interior, an eight-person team longing for distance, relaxation, and nature awaits:
– a cozy living room with a large sofa and large windows overlooking the greenery, partially connected to the kitchen,
– a terrace with a table extending the living room,
– four bedrooms with double beds,
– two bathrooms – a larger one on the ground floor and a smaller one on the first floor,
– a lockable room with a desk for remote work.
Two large bedrooms are located on the ground floor, and two smaller bedrooms with sloping ceilings are upstairs. Each has a 160 x 200 cm bed.
We also have:
- a projector and screen,
- a record player and record collection,
- two coffee machines,
- a hammock nestled among the trees,
- a barbecue on the terrace and a fire pit,
- a selection of books and board games,
- a gate to the forest.
The property is large (two hectares) and fenced – your dogs will feel right at home here.
We designed our home with peaceful relaxation close to nature in mind. Please refrain from loud parties, and we do not accept bookings for hen or stag parties. We have CCTV on the property for increased security – the camera is directed at the parking lot.
*If your reservation is for the production of photo shoots, commercial workshops, or in-home marketing videos, please let us know in advance. These services are priced additionally.
You'll be staying near the forest, but the nearest shop and local market aren't far away. In Różan, there's a market every Friday (from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM), where you can stock up on vegetables, fruit, and specialties. About 3 km from the house, there's a market with small shops, but you'll also find a larger one there.
The forest is full of mushrooms and berries, and on the terrace there's a large table for feasting. We also have a barbecue and a fire pit. Our previous guests recommend picnics in the garden and spread out on blankets with delicious treats.
The house has become our space to escape from the city, a place for intimate celebrations with friends, a reset of our heads with our favorite music, an atmospheric film and in the green garden. It is also a guest house, because from the beginning we knew that we wanted to welcome Guests here and share what we ourselves feel here - good energy, homely coziness, aesthetic interiors and a location right next to a magical forest, where you rarely meet another person. We practice naps here, recharge our batteries with contact with nature and give ourselves time to rest.
At the Forest you will find:
- a garden for barefoot walks and blanketing,
- comfortable sofas - inside and outside and a hammock for reading books or listening to podcasts,
- a fireplace that brings warmth and creates atmosphere (available only in winter),
- a terrace table made of solid wood for feasting and playing board games,
- evening film screenings (we have a screen and a projector),
- the pleasure of listening to music from gramophone records (we have speakers, a gramophone and a collection of records),
- terraced seating with a view of the garden and sunsets,
- forest walks, because the gate to the forest is within reach.
The river
You will be a 10-minute walk from the river. This is a place where the Narew is wide and the current roars, rather not for bathing, but for sitting on the bank. A 6-minute drive from the house is a kayak rental.
Beach
A fifteen-minute drive from the house, there is a swimming area in the place of a former gravel pit. There is a beach and a water bike rental there.
Bikes
If you can, take two wheels with you. There are plenty of routes in the area, and we are happy to share our ready-made suggestions for bike trips. There are empty roads, forest paths and great gravel.
Forest
We have a gate to the forest, and walks in it are an ideal stress-relieving therapy. Foraging enthusiasts will not be disappointed - in the season, the forest is full of mushrooms. Forest paths are ideal for family trekking, wandering aimlessly and cross-country skiing in winter.
Our dog Brokat tested the space with other quadrupeds in mind and definitely recommends it, so do not hesitate to drop by with your canine friends.
Bike tours: the area offers numerous bike routes that are perfect for family rides
Treasure hunting: search for treasures such as pine cones, leaves, plants, mushrooms or sticks
Hide and seek: divide into teams - seekers and hiders, all on the plot or in the forest
Exploring the world of plants and animals: collecting leaves, looking for animal tracks and observing different plant species
There is a separate, locked room in the house where you can work freely. The Internet works great, and a comfortable chair and desk are under the window overlooking the trees. You can also set up a work station at a large table on the terrace.
