My grandmother was a visionary. She wanted a holiday home unlike any other: in the 1970s, she hired a progressive architectural studio that created a design for a building extending into space from a slope. Our Frank Lloyd Wright in the Myślenice version levitates on two reinforced concrete legs between tall beech trees, and their surroundings create a soothing, mysterious atmosphere. Nature simply invites itself inside through large windows. The house harmonizes with it with the ubiquitous larch and a fireplace made of nearby river stones. This is a space for connoisseurs. Those who will appreciate the hammered brass fireplace sheet, the structure of the original slat lamps and the Hałasa chest of drawers in the living room. My passion for design allowed me to refresh the house while maintaining its unique atmosphere and complement it with carefully selected period furniture. It has only one new element - a glass-enclosed bedroom where you sleep among the trees. Come and see how.
The house is located on a fenced forest plot in Stróża, a summer resort in Lesser Poland, over which it dominates. To get to it, you have to climb the stairs up the slope. On the left you can see the neighbors' houses in the distance, on the right there is only a forest from which squirrels and deer come to us.
House has:
bottom part:
– small bedroom with a double bed,
- kitchen,
– living room with fireplace, exit to the terrace and table,
– bathroom with shower next to the kitchen;
upper part:
– large room with one double bed and 4 single beds,
– a separate, attached bedroom with a fireplace, surrounded by trees.
In theory, it can accommodate 10 people and this solution may work well for shorter trips. However, the house has only one small bathroom. It will be best for two couples, a family or a smaller group of friends. For a couple craving peace and intimacy, this will be more than perfect.
We do not say no to intimate hen parties or integration meetings in a good tone. However, please be careful (the house is all made of wood!) and refrain from throwing silver confetti ;).
The plot is fenced, but clever dogs find a way to get under the wooden fence (you will see it in one of the photos).
There is an atmospheric fireplace under the terrace, and there is also a summer kitchen outside.
We encourage you to cook in the refreshed kitchen with an oven and induction hob, overlooking the greenery.
Outside, there is an atmospheric summer kitchen with a grill, stove and pizza oven. There is also a nice fireplace under the terrace. If you want, feel free to use the herb garden below the house during the season.
You will find yourself in the Beskid Wyspowy - in the area you can spend time in close proximity to nature. We are surrounded by forests, hiking trails, forest streams and bicycle routes. In autumn, mushroom pickers will find an abundance of mushrooms.
You can drive to Pcim and go for a pleasant walk with a reward at the end of the route - to the PTTK Shelter in Kudłacze. It's not a very steep route and you can also do it by bike. It will take you about 2 hours to reach the wild garlic soup on foot. And from the shelter you can continue along the route to the Lubomir Observatory. This is a perfect idea for a trip even with small children.
And speaking of bikes. We have a lot of good things here for those who want to cover kilometers and elevation gain. MTB routes:
– Czerwona – the longest and most interesting, circles Mount Chełm. It is 16.1 km long and has almost 400 meters of elevation gain,
– Zielona (stokowa) – (7.6 km, 170 m of climbing),
– Czarna (liaison) – (1.5 km, 60 m uphill).
VeloRaba route:
– As the name suggests, it is a bicycle path along the Raba River, ultimately 125 kilometers long. It was carried out using an old railway line, which means that the slope of the terrain is slight. The route can take you to Rabka, but also to the salt mine in Bochnia. Although, of course, these are rather long-distance trips, not for a few hours.
If you do not have your own equipment, you can rent bikes (including electric ones) at several rental companies in Myślenice.
You can even go to the beach - to Myślenice, to Zarabie Park, as the name suggests: on the Raba River. There is a swimming pool, a beach, food trucks, a park, a promenade along the river, and an outdoor gym. There are designated barbecue areas with benches and tables in the shade of trees. At the very end of the alleys there is also the "Małpi Gaj" Rope Park. In winter, there is also an ice rink in Zarabie Park.
From Myślenice you can also take the cable car to Mount Chełm or climb it. From the town you can also take a pleasant walk to the top of Uklejna or to Polana na Mikołaja.
Or maybe skiing? Ski Arena Myślenice is waiting for you. Next are: Kasina Ski & Bike Park, Siepraw Ski and Laskowa-Kamionna.
What’s there for children?
Children are welcome, but there are no special attractions for them in the house and garden. Also consider whether it is a comfortable option for your family - there are steep stairs leading to the house, and the terrace is suspended many meters above the ground. It is best to come to us with an infant or older children.
What’s there for employees?
There is fiber-optic internet on site, and in the attached bedroom in the grove there is a small desk where you can work in beautiful surroundings.
