Sometimes we are visited by people who spent their holidays here as children. They send photos and tell stories. They say: "it's good that someone breathed life into this place." When we walked into the former Ponderosa Bed and Breakfast a few years ago, the beds were made as if waiting to welcome guests, even though the house had been empty for almost nine years. Sounds spooky? Not for us - we thought that the spirit of hospitality that hovers over this place is a good omen. The hotel between the forests, in a secluded part of Szklarska Poręba, experienced its heyday in the 1980s and 1990s. And the Sudeten house in which it was located and whose new chapter we are writing today was built in the mid-19th century. Inconspicuous from the outside, it contains as much as 450 m², which is a home for our family and a refuge where yours can also come. On a huge area bordering the forest, you can go sledding in the winter and play football in the summer. You will be satisfied with the view of meadows and forests observed from the hot tub and sauna. Use it as much as you want, because both are included in the price of your stay. If you feel like having an adrenaline rush, we will send you on a night trip with lanterns with a friendly Sudetes guide. And if what you dream about most is family time at home, where there is room for even the most distant aunt, do not hesitate and come with a whole group to Zielone Jelenia.

If you're looking for a rental home where you can bring a truly large family or group of friends, you've found it. At Zielony Jeleń, we can accommodate up to 23 people! Come to us for skiing in winter, for mountain hiking in summer, or any time of year to enjoy a reunion with long-lost family and friends. The house layout is as follows:

– room no. 7 for 4 people (2 beds together or separate, 2 single beds on the mezzanine),

2nd floor:
- Room 8 for up to 4 people (2 single beds, double bed, and sofa bed).

You can rent the house exclusively. We live nearby and are happy to help if needed. :-)

At your disposal will be a kitchen and dining room, and for summer days outside there is a grill and a place for a bonfire. If you want, we will give you the contact details of a catering company that prepares delicious home-made and more exquisite dishes - according to your tastes. The nearest restaurant is located 300 m from the house.

Before you hit the trails and explore the surrounding area, relax in our garden. We have 2 hectares of grounds, providing plenty of space for everyone in a large group. There are loungers, a large terrace, a barbecue area, a soccer field, and a volleyball court. There's also a sauna and a hot tub with a view, included in the price of your stay. We even have our own private patch of forest.

We can help you organize a fun family activity: a walk with Mr. Gracjan, our friendly Sudetes guide. Perhaps you'd even like a nighttime lantern walk? His route passes right by our house, so you can head straight for the trail.

The Karkonosze Mountains are known as the Polish Alps. They're famous for their hurricane-force winds and frequent weather changes, but also for 150 incredible rock formations, mountain lakes, and glacial cirques. The Chronicles of Narnia were filmed here, Liczyrzepa takes care of the peaks, and in the mountain huts you can drink delicious hot chocolate, eat blueberry pancakes, and the best apple pie in the world :-)

Exceptional tourist attractions in our area include:
– Śnieżne Kotły, glacial cirques and a great viewpoint,
– Wielki Szyszak, the second peak of the Karkonosze Mountains,
– Jakuszycka Glade, a paradise for cross-country skiing enthusiasts, where you might even meet Justyna Kowalczyk during the run,
– Jakuszyce Glassworks, a major attraction for both children and adults.
– Szklarka Waterfall, arguably the most photographed spot in Szklarska Poręba and perfectly prepared for tourists,
– the Crocus Reserve in Górzyniec, best visited in early spring.

A well-developed network of hiking trails in the town and surrounding area (nearly 100 km of marked hiking trails) and proximity to chairlifts and T-bar lifts in the mountains create excellent conditions for a variety of activities year-round.

You can also enjoy cycling. You can choose a route to suit your fitness, willingness, and skill level, such as the 9-kilometer-long Connector of Three Districts or the challenging 50-kilometer Cogeneration Trail, which leads through the Karkonosze and Jizera Mountains. You can also hit the sweet spot and tackle the 20-kilometer long Duża Szklarska Pętla (Large Szklarska Loop).

Jakuszyce needs no introduction to cross-country skiers. Those who have already mastered the technique can try their hand at Bieg Piastów, while beginners can start learning with an instructor and, after an hour's training, head to the beautiful Orle Mountain Hut or Chatka Górzystów Mountain Hut. The effort and the falls (the beginnings can be difficult) will be rewarded with blueberry pancakes.

An unassuming but much-loved attraction is the JUNA Earth Museum, worth a visit, especially when the weather is not so good. Although guests don't always go there with excitement, they usually return delighted because the collections are so beautiful and diverse.

We also recommend the Student Song Festival, a colorful and interesting event that always puts you in a good mood.

Feel free to come to us with your children! It's best to bring a few so they can hide in the attic bedroom and have fun at night. Our area is so big (but safe and fenced) that it's impossible to get bored. Especially in winter, when you can go sledding here. We managed to level part of the area and set up a football and volleyball court there, and among the trees you'll find a swing and hammocks.

We have fast internet, and the house is so large that you'll easily find a corner to retreat to and work. There's fast Wi-Fi throughout the house, but if you need to send extra messages, the cable connection reaches 1 Gb. We have an additional room that can accommodate over 20 people. You can organize business meetings, extracurricular activities, workshops, or even just exercise there.
