They called her the Enchantress. They also said that Wodecki once gave a violin concert on the veranda of the room on the first floor. And that there were untold riches in this house. When we were renovating, the plaster fell off the ceiling of one of the upper rooms and before the foreman could cover the ceiling again, he sent us a photo of the paintings. If the frescoes were almost in the attic, what must have been on the ground floor? 120 years ago, the later Polish People's Republic's Sorceress, a holiday home, was called Haus Zauberblick - Magic View, and hosted officers from Berlin thirsty for clean air. The last of the layers of paint scraped off from under the roof told us that Berlin's elites viewed it in a pistachio shade. We knew we would keep looking for a paint color until we recreated an identical one. Because when my husband said 20 years earlier, when we were walking up the mountain along the nearby trail, that this house would be ours, there was nothing magical about it. We looked at the ruin. At the beginning of the pandemic, we bought it with holes in the roof, no doors, no glass in the windows and puddles on the wooden floors. But because this is a story about determination and fulfilling dreams, we didn't even bother with several years of renovation, bathing in the stream and living in a place without heating. And today it is. The magical villa, whose new name: Świeradówka, was invented by our 6-year-old daughter. There is no more beautiful location in Świeradów and there is no other such green villa with salmon verandas in Poland. There is no place where Art Nouveau lovers can enjoy detail and color like here. With our 7-person family, we are rewriting the history of the villa like a fairy tale and we invite you to read the new chapter.
The villa has 5 independent apartments that will accommodate groups of 5 to 7 people. Detailed information about the layout and number of rooms can be found by clicking on the selected apartment. On-site check-in is unattended.
We are in the process of restoring the lower part of the house, where there will be a common area with a fireplace room, tables, sofas and party games. There will also be a kitchen for guests, if you would like to organize, for example, a birthday or holiday celebration in the room next door. For now, the common areas for spending free time are the apartments' living rooms.
Next season we will create an Art Nouveau garden around the villa, but for now it is a mountain garden and slightly overgrown. Among the vegetation you will find places for peaceful rest.
We are located right next to the hiking trail that leads to the Sky Walk tower. Don't worry about the excessive presence of tourists - in recent years there are much fewer of them here than after the tower was opened, the villa is surrounded by a garden and fenced, and the windows of the rooms are directed towards the town below. The windows overlooking the road are the hall and bathroom windows. The road is closed to car traffic (therefore, when driving to us, you must overcome the entry ban - it is a road for residents only). We only have one neighbor in our immediate vicinity.
Each of our apartments has its own kitchenette. Although small, our annexes are well-equipped. All apartments except Chabrowy have ovens, but Chabrowy has a microwave. You can find drip coffee machines in the Chabrowy, Grande Verde and Bella Vista apartments, but they will be available in all of them by the beginning of the year :)
We are also in the process of finishing the large, lower kitchen, which will be available to all our guests. It was created for more advanced kitchen projects - if, for example, you want to organize a party or family celebration in the common area.
Świeradówka looks at Świeradów-Zdrój from above (but without any superiority, because every sensitive traveler sensitive to beauty is welcome here). And although it is an intimate health resort, we are far away from all the tourists who might want to visit it. It will take you about 10 minutes to get to the town. Up here, the forest and peace reign.
Our villa is located on the route of one of Świeradów's biggest attractions: the Sky Walk tower. However, we do not feel the company of tourists on a daily basis. The largest number of them may appear on the road on weekends, but they are still not wild crowds. The trail is pedestrian, you can't go up the mountain by car.
And since you're there, we recommend taking a walk on the Sky Walk. No one will be closer to it than you! From a height of 62 m at the top there is a beautiful view of the romantic buildings of the spa and the surrounding nature. You can end the trip with a descent down a 105-meter slide.
Świeradów-Zdrój, as the name suggests, has healing properties. So you can drink water with a questionable taste, but with a healing effect, admire the interior of the historic Spa House, increase the step counter statistics and inhale radon, which has a beneficial effect on the body. In Świeradów you will find it in water, soil and air.
What else is worth visiting in the area:
– bathe in the Kwisa waterfall,
– get to know the surrounding trails, e.g. the one leading to the Chatka Górzowcy Shelter where they serve famous pancakes,
– in winter, ski at the SKI & ski station SUN Świeradów Zdrój,
– cross-country skiing in Jakuszyce,
- in the summer, try your hand at one of the many single track bicycles (they run right next to our villa!),
– or run for kilometers on the Run Tracks in the forests of Świeradów-Zdrój,
– catch some soreness by climbing Stóg Izerski along the route with the not accidental name Droga Katorga, which has a very steep approach but brilliant views,
– practice MTB skills on nearby forest roads,
– climb Sępia Góra for beautiful views of the surrounding area,
– climb the stairs to the Observation Tower on Czerniawska Kopa to see equally beautiful landscapes,
– see the Rock of Hercules,
– admire the Milky Way, the Andromeda Galaxy, nebulas, galaxies, star clusters and, if you are very lucky, shooting stars in the Jizera Dark Sky Park in Hala Izerska,
– soak your feet in the Wodoboj stream and listen to the sound of the Poidło Waterfall,
– take a mud bath in the mud treatment facility, formerly called Maria's Baths,
– climb to the vicinity of the Stanisław Quartz Mine, the highest located open-pit mine in Central Europe, where milky and pink quartz crystals were extracted. Along the way you can find colorful treasures, amethysts and mountain crystals. The mine is located on the north-eastern slope of the Izerskie Garby hill in the Jizera Mountains,
– in the cinema near the forest in Czerniawa, in the Natura 2000 Ecological Education Center “Izerska Łąka” see a film about the Jizera Foothills and visit the Jizera Orchard to see live video reports from the hives,
– take part in bread baking workshops in Czarci Młyn below Jizerska Łąka.
What’s there for children?
We love children. We have 5 of them ourselves and whenever we travel, we look for places that will accommodate our entire group. That's why our apartments are large enough to accommodate a large family or two friends.
The villa area is fenced and car traffic is prohibited, so children can play safely. Our children, with ski boots on, go straight to the Bambino ski slope for beginners. There is a ski school there, where they can practice their first descents under the supervision of instructor Tomek.
Our garden is still wild and we are just preparing a development plan, but for now the youngest guests will find there a sandbox and a trampoline, and next season there will be swings.
We also recommend the family outdoor game "In the footsteps of the Jizera Mysteries" created by the Świeradów Cultural Station. You can pick up the Jizera Mysteries Explorer Package at ul. Dworcowa 1.
What’s there for employees?
We have 5G internet, which will enable you to work on-site. Some of the apartments have desks, and certainly all of them have tables where you can sit with a laptop.
