Phone calls from guests informing us that our horse has run away no longer surprise me at all. I take them calmly, because on the Forest Farm the animals go wherever they want. The mare Bellinda in particular, so don't be surprised if you meet her near the terrace. The terrace of a house located near the forest, on the outskirts of the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park, on my parents' farm. My great-grandparents met in Chicago, but decided to return to Poland and buy land here. And that's how they ended up here, on the outskirts of a Masovian village, just over 1.5 hours from Warsaw. Here we have a family plot of land and a farm with rabbits, fallow deer, mouflons and a herd of Scottish cows that you can watch, pet and feed. Mom Wanda will surely treat you to the harvest from the garden, and dad Edek, whom you meet during your walks, can show you around the pastures and tell you a few stories. Leśna Farma is located 3 kilometers from the largest lake in the Masovian Voivodeship - Lake Zdworskie. The distance, not in kilometers but in steps, will be to the pond with a pier. Brace yourself for an attack of silence and be prepared that the nights are really dark here. This surprises visitors from the city. What is also surprising is the natural relaxation experienced here. As a result, no one wants to leave here.
We invite you to a house next to the forest, located on the outskirts of the village, on a farm with animals. Its 50-meter interior includes: a living room with a fireplace, a kitchenette, a dining table with four chairs, a bathroom with a shower, a bedroom with a balcony and a terrace.
The living room has a sofa bed, an armchair, a TV, books and board games.
The upstairs bedroom has a double bed, two single beds and a fold-out sofa.
Outside, you will have at your disposal: a pond with a pier, a playground with a trampoline, a sandbox and a swing, as well as a brick grill, benches and a place for a bonfire.
The area is not fenced. On the plot there is a farm with cows, rabbits, horses and chickens, and our parents' house.
Feel free to use the comfortable kitchenette, the brick barbecue in the garden, and in the season, the gifts of our garden and the treasures of the nearby forest. During the season, mother Wanda will serve you vegetables from her garden, if you want, you can also buy farm eggs and other delicacies on site. Just ask!
You will relax on the outskirts of the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park, on the edge of the lake district of the same name, which is sometimes called little Masuria. We have 60 lakes here, including the largest in the Masovian Voivodeship - Lake Zdworskie, located only 3 km from us. This is good news, but the better news is that the distance measured not in kilometers, but in steps, will separate you from the pond with a pier where you can drink your morning coffee, meditate, sit, do yoga, sit and watch. Herons, cranes, storks, geese and larger birds of prey often come to the pond and you can observe them. We are located in a bird sanctuary - the Central Vistula Valley.
In the house and its immediate surroundings you can:
– spend the whole day on the pier,
– pick mushrooms and berries in the forest in autumn,
– walk as much as you want,
– look at the animals living on the farm: Scottish cows, fallow deer, mouflons, horses, chickens, rabbits,
– observe wild animals that visit us: hares, roe deer, deer, wild boars, and sometimes moose,
– catch up on seasons of your favorite series or discover new ones (the house has a media player with access to streaming platforms),
– read books by the fireplace,
– go boating on the pond or go fishing in it,
– go exploring the area on bikes (we have them for you on site). You will also have deckchairs, a hammock, a picnic blanket, board games and books at your disposal.
What can you do in the area?
– go to Lake Zdworskie (3 km), to the beach in Koszelówka or Matyldów and for walks in the Gąbiński Forest,
– go to the market square in Płock, 15 km away, climb Tumskie Hill, walk along the Vistula boulevards and visit local museums,
– visit the open-air museum of the Vistula Settlement in Wiączemin Polski (10 km),
– go to the Palace in Sanniki (17 km), where you can drink coffee in the palace garden,
– take a walk around the Dąbrowa Łącka reserve with a view of Fuhrman's private palace, which resembles an Italian villa, once the residence of Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły, and from September 1939 the headquarters of General Władysław Anders,
– go to the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park, where there are plenty of lakes and a tower in Krzewent with a view of Lake Rakutowskie.
What’s there for children?
There will be plenty of attractions for children here. The Forest Farm, home to fallow deer, mouflons, rabbits, Scottish cows and a horse, which you can observe, feed and get to know better, is a place that will most likely appeal to both children and adults. Our name also reveals our surroundings. Next to it we have a forest where you can walk, ride a bike and look for various animals. There is also a trampoline, a sandbox and a swing on the premises. And there is also a pond where you can sail a boat!
What’s there for employees?
If you need a desk, give us a word before your arrival - we will put it in the house.
