This CichoSza is a bit of a lie. It's not that quiet here at all. 50 m above the houses, the forest rustles, the swaying of which can be heard even indoors on windy days, and right next to our plot there is a stream flowing through our plot. He also has his say. Apart from that, no one is sticking out anymore and it will remain that way for some time, because the houses we built are the only ones on Cicha Street. We gave it this name. We have been coming to this corner of the Gorce Mountains for years because we love it for its silence, stream and peace. We have our own plot nearby, where we live in a trailer in the summer and tend our eco-vegetable garden. We have made it flourish so much that the harvest is enough for the whole year for our family of 4. As you can guess, we know the area quite well. If you need tips on what and where, we are here to help. We invite you to cottages with a view of the Pieniny Mountains and the peaks of the Tatra Mountains for those who want to sleep with sheep, wake up wrapped in the smell of wood, and after morning coffee on the terrace, go straight to Lubań. The trail starts outside the door.
Our two houses, ideal for couples, a couple with a child or a small family, are located on a large, unfenced plot right next to the forest. We are not going to fence it off. On one side, the border is marked by a stream.
The houses are identical and each has:
– a bedroom on the mezzanine (a classic double bed and a fold-out double couch, e.g. for children),
– kitchenette connected to the living room,
– bathroom with shower,
– terrace with comfortable armchairs.
The houses are the only ones on our quiet, dirt street.
In the mini guide we have prepared, which will be waiting for you on site, you will find recommendations of our favorite restaurants in the area. In the cottages you will also be welcomed by delicious, regional coffee (although it did not grow on the slopes of the Pieniny Mountains, but was roasted in the Pieniny roastery).
On site, you will find simple guides with tips we have collected on what to do in the area, where to eat, and which way to get to the trail. And if you need more recommendations, just ask us - this is our place on earth and we know it like the back of our hand. During the season, we can relax on our own plot nearby, and then we will provide live advice.
Nature reigns supreme. At CichoSzy you can forget about the daily rush and deeply regenerate. Go straight from home to the mountains, enjoy the proximity of the forest, eat breakfast on the terrace overlooking the peaks. A few words about the local attractions:
– mountain trails – the nearest one, to Lubań, starts right next to our cottages; we also recommend going to Turbacz, Trzy Wierchy and Sokolica, the highest peak of the Pieniny Mountains,
– bicycle routes – the Velo Dunajec path is just a stone's throw away,
– you will be very close to Lake Czorsztyńskie,
– there will be a hot tub (PLN 350)
What’s there for children?
If you want to come to us with a baby, we will prepare a cot for you on the mezzanine, just let us know that you need it. As for the slightly scary kids - the stairs leading to the mezzanine may seem steep, but they are well-shaped and have a handrail. You have to judge for yourself whether you will feel safe with them. There is a fold-out bed upstairs, where up to two children can sleep, or you can use the downstairs with a fold-out sofa for them.
For next season, we are preparing a children's zone with a playground on the plot. And in Krościenko nad Dunajcem there is a rope park where you can climb and have fun in summer and winter.
What’s there for employees?
You will find a place to work at a round table, on a comfortable chaise longue or in an armchair overlooking the Pieniny Mountains. The Internet works efficiently enough to make remote work on site possible.
