And here you can have high expectations about your holiday in the mountains. At an altitude of 839 m above sea level cravings, pleasures and peace, disturbed only by the bleating of sheep, reign supreme. Because we designed our houses so that you don't have to think about anything. Evidence? One of the guests told us before departure that he could basically arrive without luggage. They are located in Brzegi, a small village in the Podhale region. The edges of our plot are marked by a birch forest, where you can hide in a hammock, and a country road, which is sometimes passed by a greeting farmer. We love Podhale and this is where we wanted to fulfill our dream of running a guest place - away from trampolines, quads and twisted fries. The idea was to be able to go on the trail without having to jostle along the main promenades. We did it: we found a plot of land right above the pasture, where only peace is allowed. With a panorama of the surrounding hills and a view of the Tatra Mountains above it. When you arrive, we will personally welcome you and, if you wish, we will provide you with a delicious breakfast every morning. We will also recommend you the best trails in our beloved Slovak Tatra Mountains. However, we leave you with a warning: surprisingly often, our guests abandon their hiking plans and do not leave the place...
Our cottages: Wyżny and Niżny are hidden in the shadow of the Tatra peaks in the small Podhale village of Brzegi. This is a place created for those who want to be close to the mountains, but away from the main resorts and promenades. Only one cottage is open until summer 2024, so you can count on complete privacy on site.
Two modern barn-type houses have:
– bedroom with a double bed on the mezzanine,
– living room with fireplace and fold-out sofa for 2 people,
– kitchenette open to the living room,
– bathroom with shower,
– terrace with deckchairs and tables.
There are no buildings on the neighboring plots and you can feel as if you were relaxing in a mountain pasture, because sheep and cows regularly visit us here. There are other houses in the village, but they are far from ours.
Ecology is important to us. The houses were built of natural materials, without the use of mineral wool (they are insulated with grain and straw). We tried to make the houses partially passive. Much of the equipment is wooden. We don't mow the grass in summer, so you'll feel like you're in a meadow.
In winter, the snow is often waist-deep and access can be demanding. 4x4 tires are not a necessity, but winter tires are. It's also good to have chains with you.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a selection of local products (oscypek cheese, preserves, wine). In our kitchen you will find many types of teas and coffees. We also took care of the selection of brewing methods: there is an espresso machine, a coffee maker, a French press, and a transfer.
If you want, you can order a delicious breakfast delivered to your house. They are prepared for us by the Bukowina Shelter. The cost of breakfast for 2 people is PLN 120
Let your stay in Wygóronych be a celebration of boredom. We thought of everything that would make her as sweet as possible. The houses are surrounded by a birch forest, which creates an idyllic atmosphere and allows you to hide from (unlikely) glances. This is where you can hang a hammock and spend the whole day with a book. Cozy terraces with a beautiful view tempt you with comfortable deckchairs where you can sit with a cup of aromatic tea. Inside, you will find various holiday accessories: scented candles, blankets, beautiful ceramics.
We know the Tatra Mountains like the back of our hand, so we will be happy to advise you which trail to choose. For years, we have been exploring especially the Slovak Tatra Mountains, which are still less crowded and partly undiscovered.
We recommend:
– Bachledowa Dolina with a path in the treetops,
– trip to Łomnica,
– Thermal Baths in Bukowina,
– Rusinowa Polana,
– a trip to Morskie Oko, where the trail starts 15 minutes away. hence.
Brzegi is a tiny, high-altitude village where nothing happens. Here you can walk through the meadows and forest, cycle for kilometers if you are not afraid of riding uphill, and take a walk to the clearing above our cottages to admire the panorama of the Tatra Mountains.
What’s there for children?
We invite older children to Wygóronych (steep stairs lead to the mezzanine).
What’s there for employees?
Our internet is too weak to participate in online meetings, but sufficient to use e-mail or applications. So don't expect intensive work, but you will easily stay in touch with your co-workers.
