Are hills an insult to mountaineers? That's what they think. But Mateusz is not at all offended by the moraine hills of the Drawsko Lake District. After all, when we miss the mountains, we can always leave. We wanted to live in the countryside and lead a simple life close to nature, preferably by a lake. And when we came across the former Prussian farm at Łabędy 100, we knew it would be here. In a hamlet with a curious former name of Neu Labendz, 5 km from the village proper, Swans is one of the few remaining habitats. There are traces of others around that have long since disappeared. Winter is the only time of the year when our house is visible from one of the roads, and to come to us, you really have to travel specially. There is nothing here. There are lakes, forests, dirt roads. We invite you to our solitude in a small and very charming house, where you can hide away for two and forget about the existence of civilization.

Two townspeople (Natalia - Kraków, Mateusz - Warsaw) together with their cat Nightmare, try their hand at rural life. Natalia inherited the love of welcoming guests from her family - her parents and sister ran The Secret Garden hostel in Krakow's Kazimierz, where she worked. A horse physiotherapist and farrier by profession (yes, a woman farrier), Mateusz is a trade fair stand fitter and mountain climber. Sometimes you may not find us in our solitude due to the nature of our work, introverts will be delighted ;)

A year-round cottage with underfloor heating and an additional fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen (oven, toaster, filter coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine), until recently it was a wood shed - so it is old and after revitalization it starts a new life. A secluded place, perfect for introverts.

How do I get there?

Car

  • From the road 162 Drawsko Pomorskie–Kołobrzeg, in the village of Łabębę, turn towards Karsibór (turn almost at the height of the shop) onto a cobbled road. Then turn right and go straight (you will pass the Swan end sign). Immediately after the Karsibór sign, turn right (before the bus stop, next to the cross, there is a sign "Swans no. 99, 100") into a gravel road. We turn right just behind the first house onto a dirt road - it leads to our yard.

Other rules

  • Furry owners are asked to read our policies:
    – The area of our habitat is not fenced - so the dogs must be either ultra-disciplined or on leashes. We also have a cat, and there are two wild cats in the area that spend the winter in our barn, so the dogs should be familiar with cats - THEY CANNOT HUNT THEM.
    – The owner is financially and legally liable for any damage caused by the animal (dog, cat, chinchilla, rabbit and any other species) – both in the house (bitten furniture, torn pillows, traces of feces or urine) and in the yard (dug up beds or flower beds).
    – We ask dog owners to bring proof of a current rabies vaccination.
    – We clean up dog droppings in the yard.

    Parents visiting us with children are asked to read the following rules:
    – Please parents keep in mind that the master bedroom in the cottage is upstairs. The first floor is an open mezzanine (secured by a handrail), accessed by quite steep stairs.
    – There are no other buildings in the area, no children as playmates, and we do not have a playground or other accessories.
    – We remind parents that they bear full legal and financial responsibility for any damage caused by their children. Both inside the house and in the yard - broken windows, damaged crops, damaged electronics, household appliances, furniture, walls, floors.
    – There is a small lake several dozen meters away from the house, so we advise children not to go there without supervision - the shore is marshy and the bottom is very muddy.

Dałbym cztery i pół gwiazdki, ale się nie da. Z zalet: Naprawdę wysoki standard wykończenia domku, także w łazience. Bardzo duże i długie, a przy tym bardzo wygodne łóżko, bez problemu bardzo dobrze wyśpią się na nim osoby bardzo wysokie, sam mam 197 cm wzrostu i według mnie pod tym względem było rewelacyjnie. Kuchnia też wyposażona bardzo fajnie - jest wszystko: duża lodówka, duży piekarnik, tost...

Fantastyczni ludzie nie moga zaoferowac nam czegos co nie jest rownie dobre jak oni. Nie moglismy pozbyc sie uczucia, ze czas stanal tam w miejscu. W 1912 roku.. Rano rozmawialy z nami zurawie, wieczorem plonelo ognisko.. Świetne miejsce do spędzenia romatycznego wyjazdu we dwoje, z dala od zgiełku. Na miejscu niczego nie brakuje, domek jest dobrze wyposażony. Sympatyczni i pomocni właściciele. Polecamy w 100 procentach, na pewno jeszcze tam wrócimy.
