From the window of our house you can see the Kumiałka River, which borders directly on the plot. Here on the pier you can drink coffee, soaking your feet in the refreshing water with the company of curious fish. Once you sit on it, don't miss the unhurried spectacle: sometimes a fox will come, sometimes a deer, and maybe you'll even spot a white heron waiting for a meal. Other than that, there's nothing going on here. Silence, peace and atmosphere of a real Podlasie village, tasting of a local delicacy: Korycin cheese. That's how it was supposed to be. We returned to Kamil's homeland to show our children how fun childhood in the countryside can be. Our son and daughter are eager to establish contacts with others, so if you are planning to come here with your children, we invite you to take a walk together and sing by the bonfire. And regardless of the group you visit us with, plan to relax under the sign of Pieczka and KiPiątka, which in the Podlasie dialect means stove and boiling water. A hot tub bursting with bubbles, a sauna and a babbling river right behind the house are waiting for you if you feel like cooling off.
The cottage we invite you to was created by dismantling an over 80-year-old granary. We put it back together using our own muscles and imagination, which is why there is a cozy atmosphere here, breathing history.
Inside you will find:
- 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with a double bed and a single bed,
on the ground floor
- a fully equipped kitchen,
- a living room with a bench and a banquet table,
- a bathroom with a shower. The cottage can accommodate 6 people, but for your comfort we recommend it primarily for four adults. Outside you will find:
- a tub with a jacuzzi,
- a sauna for max. 8 people,
- a bonfire place with seating around it.
You may be surprised how dark and quiet the night is in the countryside. We know some who were surprised that the Milky Way can be observed with the naked eye.
Our plot is not fenced and there is a pond on it.
Since you are in the vicinity of Korycin, you can't help but try Koryciński cheese - our local specialty. We offer it to all guests upon arrival, and if there is not enough, we will tell you how to find the producers or arrange delivery to your door.
Do you still remember the taste of fresh milk straight from the cow, or maybe you haven't had the opportunity to try it? The neighbor's animals graze in the meadow every day, which is now an increasingly rare form of breeding. Milk from such cows tastes much better than that from a bottle or carton.
And if you want to catch a fish yourself in the river near the house - grab your fishing rods and get to work!
We will also tell you where to buy the best regional products in the area.
Pieczka and Kipiątek are places created for relaxation. The name comes from the Podlasie dialect – it means stove and boiling water. The sauna heated by a solid stove allows you to warm up, and in the tub (also boiling, because it has a jacuzzi option) you can sit for long hours at night, because time stops flowing in it.
Walks, fishing, swimming in the river, kayaking – most of the entertainment is guaranteed by the river, to which we have direct access. Those for whom the main entertainment will be rest and blissful laziness, will lie comfortably in a hammock or read a good book in the swing on the terrace. The only ones who do not observe the silence of the night here in the morning are the birds. Do not set your alarm clocks, in the morning you will have a concert. In the area we recommend:
– Milewszczyzna Korycin Cultural Park (1 km),
– Biebrzański National Park (15 km),
– Tykocin (36 km)
- Alpaki Długi Ług (5 km)
We have direct access to the river. During your stay, you have unlimited access to two kayaks - there is no bad weather, there are poorly dressed people. You can kayak all year round, unless the river is frozen.
In summer - the river allows you to cool off and swim. It is exceptionally clean.
In winter - winter swimming enthusiasts, this is the perfect place for you!
What’s there for children?
In early summer, you can expect strawberry picking in the forest, and in summer, bathing in the river (only the youngest claim that any temperature of water is sufficient for bathing). The tub serves as a great swimming pool for children on warm days.
Children will certainly be pleased with the huge number of snails and rescuing them by carrying them across the road. A walk to the hen house will take 2 minutes, and there the children will gladly help our parents feed the chickens. Catching a fish from the river to later grill or fry it and eat it - it is an adventure and a memory for life. And there is no shortage of fish in our river.
We have two children (4.6 years old) who are eager to make contacts with families with children - we invite your little ones for joint walks and to sing together by the bonfire.
Please remember that there is a pond on our plot and take into account that there are quite steep stairs leading to the first floor of the house.
