Our place is neither a modern barn nor does it fit into architectural trends. We created it from what was there, and there used to be a diner here called "Karp". Why Karp? Well, the fact that the Oleśnica State Fisheries Farm operated dynamically in the area. Its time had passed, and the buildings right next to the forest, bordering the 19th-century manor house, were waiting for their new life. And then, with an armful of treasures from flea markets, we entered. We have arranged guest rooms and a room here, perfect for workshops, because we are ceramicists and sculptors by profession. I designed each of the rooms myself and each has a unique, artistic atmosphere. If you think about it, individual design elements do not fit together, but in our interiors they create a coherent whole. And although the buildings in the area are not beautiful, this place has plenty of charm. We invite those seeking peace, quiet and nature for hiking and cycling trips in the local forests. Maybe you will climb Gontyniec, the highest peak of the Greater Poland Lake District? We invite mushroom pickers, because they may have never seen so many mushrooms as here. And for those who want new and creative experiences, we will organize ceramics workshops, tai-chi classes, a bonfire in an old paper mill and a walk in the forest. It will be interesting.
Uroczysko Oleśnica is a complex of buildings in a small village among the forests and lakes of Greater Poland, a stone's throw from Chodzież. Our area borders a 19th-century manor house where our neighbors sometimes stay.
It is a peaceful place for creative relaxation. In the residential part we have 4 double rooms with access from the patio, and 1 apartment for 4 people with a separate entrance. This apartment has a kitchenette.
In the Miodek and Drzwi rooms it is possible to add an extra bed.
There are also relaxation areas at your disposal in the hotel building next door - a dining room, corners with sofas and board games. In summer, there is garden furniture on the patio and an atmospheric shelter with lights in the courtyard.
During your stay, we will be there - we will serve you delicious breakfasts, and if you want, we will invite you to common attractions (ceramic workshops, tai-chi, bonfire).
We want you to feel a warm feeling in your tummy, apart from having a nice time. Each guest receives a standard rich breakfast included in the accommodation price. However, if you would like to immerse yourself in the local atmosphere, get to know regional cheeses, honey or other preserves - that's great, but please let us know in advance.
If you are interested in a wider catering offer, we are at your disposal, we will reach an individual agreement with everyone. The use of the kitchen is only possible if the room is also rented.
The 4-person Szerszeń apartment has its own kitchen, while guests of the 4 smaller rooms have a shared kitchenette where you can make tea.
Uroczysko Oleśnica, apart from being a hospitable place, is also a place to pursue our passions. I am a sculptor by profession and my husband is a ceramicist. My small atelier is located in Uroczysko, where I love spending time and sculpting. I also really like meeting our guests who are interested in ceramics. We have our own furnace on site and organize workshops. If you are interested in such classes, I will be happy to discuss the program individually, tell you about our possibilities and I will be happy to take care of the preparations. Our workshops are not standard and each one is different, depending on how our guests feel about ceramics and sculpture.
In addition to ceramic workshops, I am a Tai-Chi instructor and once a week I conduct classes for a local group of participants.
Our property borders a forest wall. This is not an ordinary forest, because at the end of summer and autumn it turns into a real paradise for mushroom pickers. Nearby there is also the highest peak of the Greater Poland Lake District - Gontyniec, 192 m above sea level, to which a forest road leads straight from our area. Additionally, there are many hiking trails, bicycle routes and many glacial lakes in the area. In winter, when there is snow, you can also use the ski slope in Chodzież.
What’s there for children?
Unfortunately we do not have attractions for children. We do not have the appropriate infrastructure that would meet the expectations of your loved ones. For this reason, we invite you with children over 10 years of age, whose attractions you will be able to take care of yourself in your free time. For families with children, the Miodek room will be best, as it has 2 beds.
What’s there for employees?
We can ensure peace and quiet for those who work. We will certainly find people who do not care about a flat table, a large monitor, fast Internet and the president's office chair. We can offer a soft sofa, warm tea and a blanket on colder days or a rocking chair. If this and average internet are enough for you to work, we are convinced that you will find your place here.
