We have everything you could want from a trip to the Bieszczady Mountains, and this is not even it yet. Have you heard about the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains? If not, the simplest explanation of where they are located is "over there in the Bieszczady Mountains". Do you remember where Lake Solina is? That's even above him. The surrounding lands are covered with Carpathian forests full of nature reserves, and the Turnicki National Park is to be established there in the future. The one who would protect the remains of the Carpathian Forest. There are untrodden mountain trails nearby, perfect for families and those who like to walk but not get tired. This is where the famous serpentines in the Słonne Mountains wind. This is a land for those who dream of staying in the wild, enjoying vast panoramas full of hills, going on a trail and not meeting anyone. It was here, in a forest ravine above the Tyrawka River, that my settlement was founded. It will appeal to people who seek silence, want to be close to nature and like simple pleasures.
Sroczy Jar is a picturesque place in the village of Rozpucie in the Przemyśl Foothills. The beauty of the landscape, interesting topography, proximity to forests, meadows and clean air - these are the reasons why our guests like to come back to us. The settlement area is rich in diverse Carpathian flora and fauna. Squirrels, 20-centimeter dragonflies, numerous bird species live here, and mushrooms grow right outside the doorstep. In autumn, you can watch the rut from the balcony. Fishing enthusiasts have access to 2 ponds for fishing.
The cottages are scattered throughout the private forest interspersed with fish ponds. Some of them give you a real feeling of living in the treetops.
You will have a hot tub and a sauna in the shared relaxation space at your disposal. House no. 5 has its own hot tub on the terrace (use fee: PLN 300/day).
There is also a large communal shelter, under which concerts of Bieszczady bards are sometimes held.
NOTE: it may happen that there will be some social gathering there from time to time. If so, we will inform you about it when booking. Basically, our settlement is a place for people who love peace, quiet and nature.
There is a quite steep driveway leading to the settlement, but if you have any problems, you can count on my support and access in an off-road vehicle.
If you would like to, a lady from the village can provide you with breakfasts based on regional products. They have a traditional character: cheese, cold meats, bread, eggs, honey.
The nearest larger stores are 6 km away, so it's best to stock up on supplies along the way. We also have a small shop in the village 500 m from here. Remember: it is only open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In autumn, don't forget your mushroom baskets!
On site you will find:
– hot tub and sauna common to all (or private hot tub at cottage no. 5),
– ponds where you can fish,
– fireplace,
– a shelter where you can sit and eat meals together,
- volleyball court.
It's impossible to get bored in the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains (those just before the Bieszczady Mountains):
– the Good Soldier Švejk Bicycle Trail runs nearby,
– you have 15 minutes. to Wańkowa Ski, where there is a ski slope and the longest cable railway in the Bieszczady Mountains, there is also a tubing track for sliding on pontoons and the longest zip line in Poland,
– there are famous serpentines in the Słonne Mountains (one of the local mountain ranges), which you can drive by car or climb to Przysłop along the red trail, e.g. from Rakowa.
The closest routes to us are right under our noses, i.e. those of the Słonne Mountains. The name of the range comes from the brine springs found here, from which salt has been obtained for centuries. Nowadays, no one does this anymore, but you can walk along the trails that cross the area, unmarked paths that stretch for kilometers, drink water from springs and avoid bear tracks. Apart from forest inhabitants such as wolves, lynxes and eagles, it is difficult to encounter other wanderers, which is becoming less and less common in Biesy.
What’s there for employees?
The Internet does not work well here and the network may interrupt, and the coverage may also be poor. However, if you want to work offline, e.g. creatively, it is easy to concentrate and be inspired in houses among the trees.
