If I were to tell you what the atmosphere is like in Soblówka, I would choose between charming, relaxing and homely. Although it is best to come here and enjoy the atmosphere of this place. I called it an asylum because it is a salvation for the overload of the nervous system and damaged relationships, as well as a hiding place to which you can escape, taking six companions with you. After escaping from everyday life, head to Soblówka, through which a trade route once ran, leading through the Przysłop Pass, Stara Bystrica and Žilina. Today it is so calm that you can hear the silence. In the summer, the greenery is striking, in the spring there is a custom, in the fall there is a Redyk, and in the winter we are covered with a blanket of snow. In a wooden cottage, you will be warmly welcomed by a fireplace and spoiled by several nice nooks and crannies. The house boasts a spectacular terrace and a sauna house in the garden. About the world through the window you will be able to watch deer walking, gaze at the hills of the Żywiec Beskid Mountains from the jacuzzi with bubbles, and look at the Tatra Mountains from the trails starting nearby. Serve breakfast here on the glass-enclosed veranda, eat lunch on the terrace, sink into comfortable sofas in the living room, spread blankets in the garden and roll on the grass. It's allowed here.

In Soblówka, 7 people will be most comfortable. The house has 3 bedrooms in the attic, each with a double bed. You can also sleep on the fold-out sofa in the living room.

In the garden there is a sauna house, a jacuzzi and a playground for children. The house also has a very nice terrace with a barbecue and a covered veranda with a dining room.

You can hide in Soblówka, enjoy the panorama of the Żywiecki Beskids (as well as the Tatra Mountains, which can be admired from the nearby routes), and watch deer walking around at dawn. There will be a cozy living room with a fireplace, a bookcase with books and a comfortable armchair, and in the garden there will be a jacuzzi with bubbles and a sauna house, where, in addition to the sauna, there are also comfortable armchairs and a shower.

There is a black hiking trail nearby and the green trail begins, later connecting with the inter-border blue trail. There is also a yellow shepherd's trail and a red hiking and cycling trail in the area. I recommend trips to: Pilsko, Babia Góra, Muńcoł or Wielka Rycerzowa. The trip to the last mountain will take you about 4 hours. You can choose from the yellow trail (more scenic) and the black trail, so you can make a loop. For a light run, I recommend the route to Królowa Polana, where the Szczechowicz family's shepherd's hut stands.

In Soblówka there is a spring custom, i.e. a drive of sheep to the village and an autumn redyk, when the shepherd returns with a herd of sheep for the winter. Nearby, on Królowa Street, there is also a shepherd's hut where you can drop by for delicious cheese.

The nearest shelters can be found in Hala Rysianka, Przegibek Pass, Hala Lipowska, Hala Rycerzowa and Krawcowy Wierch.

On the Slovak side there are: Kwaczańska Dolina (where many scenes of Agnieszka Holland's Janosik were created), water mills in Obłazy, the Dolne and Horne Diery routes. There are also beautiful cycle routes, e.g. the cycle route from Glinka to Terchová through Novot, Orawska Lesna and Zazriva and around the reservoir in Nová Bystrica. At the crossing in Ujsoły, the yellow ski trail begins, leading to Krawce Wierch.

For skiing, go to the Ski Park complexes in Rajcza (it is the closest, 10 km from the house), Zwardoń Ski or Orava Ski. The area around the village of Mutne in Slovakia (35 minutes by car from us) will be ideal for cross-country skiers. A beautiful running route starts in Mutnianská Píla and leads along forest paths at the foot of Pilsko.

Beskid Żywiecki is a perfect place for mountain biking. Many of the gravel forest roads are fire roads, so they are not too steep. I recommend renting electric bikes, which make exploring the area even more enjoyable.

In the area there is the Habsburg Palace in Żywiec, in Złatna you can see the ruins of a glassworks (with a blast furnace) and a larch forester's lodge from 1876, and in a little further Jaworzynka it is worth visiting the Na Grapie Regional Museum. From there, it's not far to Istebna, Kukuczka's birthplace (see the Memorial Room run by his wife Cecylia). In the same town there is also an inconspicuous Forest Ecological Education Center.

At the end of the day, decide for yourself whether you want to lie in hot water in the jacuzzi in the garden, hide in front of the fireplace with a book, or jump into the sauna.

For children, we have a garden with a view of the mountains and a small but entertaining playground. They might like the jacuzzi in the garden. Go hiking around the area and climb the child-friendly peaks of the Żywiecki Beskids together.

There is no dedicated work space at home, but you can sit comfortably in the winter garden at a large table or with a laptop on your lap in an armchair in the library corner on the first floor. We have fast internet.
