The year 1820 is carved into the granite on one of the pond's embankments, used to regulate its water flow. The barn standing nearby should have been somewhat younger. When it came into our possession, its condition was beyond reproach. It was in a state of disrepair. However, we felt that such treasures should be saved and preserved. So we scrubbed the walls, uncovered the original granite, and carefully restored the interior of the building that has become our home. We also created two apartments – one for a larger group, the other ideal for couples, and a glass-enclosed conservatory for socializing. We live here simply, peacefully, and off the beaten track. After breakfast, you can put on your shoes and hit the trail (start at Bobrowe Skały) or hop on your bike and pedal to Szklarska Poręba for sightseeing and dinner. From the clearing in our forest, you can see the breathtaking panorama of the Karkonosze Mountains, and sitting on the terrace or by the fireplace, you can truly relax. In Łąkowa, we have our own spa—a source from which you can draw nourishing energy. Perhaps the nearby Witches' Glade, once a sacred place for the Slavs, has something to do with it. Or perhaps it's something in the crystal-clear air here. It's worth checking it out for yourself.
At the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains, in a barn that is over 200 years old, we have created Łąkowa Zdrój – our home and three apartments, which we have prepared with your comfort in mind.
Apartment no. 1 (67 m²) is a cosy space with a living room with a fireplace, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed and access to the terrace. Two additional places to sleep can be found on a fold-out sofa.
Apartment no. 2 (51 m²) has a very similar layout – a living room with a fireplace and kitchenette, bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed and access to the terrace. Here, too, two additional people can sleep on the sofa.
Apartment no. 3 (120 m²) is a space for those who like more freedom. It has two levels, two bedrooms with double beds (each with its own bathroom), a shared bathroom with shower and a large living room combined with a kitchenette, island and large table. On the open mezzanine there are two single beds, and two fold-out sofas provide additional sleeping places. The apartment also has a terrace overlooking the forest.
We have decorated the interiors in a rustic style with a large dose of coziness. On some walls we have left the original granite, which reminds us of the history of this place.
Our barn stands by the pond, surrounded by the forest. In the clearing we have created a place for a bonfire, from where you can admire the panorama of the Karkonosze Mountains - from Śnieżka to Śnieżne Kotły. If you prefer something different, we also have a place for a barbecue - both a gas and a charcoal grill are at your disposal, so you can choose the option that suits you better.
And if you are looking for even deeper relaxation - in our winter garden there is a charming sauna with a large glass, through which you can admire the forest around us. And if you are lucky, you may spot deer, which are its permanent inhabitants - and at the same time our neighbors. Between sauna sessions, you can take a refreshing shower, relax on a lounger or use a massage mat. The sauna is additionally payable – PLN 150 for the first hour and PLN 80 for each additional hour.
We invite you with your pets, but it is worth knowing that the area is not tightly fenced.

🍗 Gościniec Łojewski (6 min by car / 15 min by bike) - classic home cooking at its best. It is usually crowded, but for good reason - their breaded chicken breast is a legend! A huge portion and a taste that lingers in the memory.
🍕 Pizzeria u Bazyla (4 min by car / 10 min by bike) - if you feel like having pizza in the area, this is where you should go.
Szklarska Poręba (10 min by car) - here you will find many great restaurants. Our recommendations:

🥘Niebo w Gębie – classic flavors in a home-made version, ideal after mountain hikes.

Cieplice-Zdrój (12 min by car) – is the oldest health resort in Poland, and a great place for culinary discoveries. After relaxing in the thermal baths, it is worth visiting:
🥗 Aquakultura – if not only food but also the magic of the place is important to you, you must visit this place. Located near the Cieplice health resort in a rustic barn among fields, meadows and ponds, this restaurant is a real gem. Especially in summer, when you can sit on the terrace and admire the Karkonosze in all its glory.
🥘 Norweska Dolina – a restaurant in the beautiful Norweski Park, right next to the spa, where you can enjoy delicious dishes surrounded by greenery.
🍕Pociąg do Pizzy – for those who prefer classics and dream of real Italian pizza.
Jelenia Góra (15 min by car) – if you decide to visit this charming post-German city, be sure to check out the main square, which is full of unique restaurants. Our favorites:

WELCOME TO KARKONOSZE! This is a place that offers a lot to discover, but does not force you to do anything. You can set off on mountain trails, but you can also cut yourself off from the world and simply do nothing. In fact, in Łąkowa Zdrój it does not matter whether you relax in a hammock with a good book, drink your morning coffee by the pond, or warm yourself up in the evening by the goat - all of this tastes better here. This is the magic of this place that we want to give you.
Here you can relax the way you like. You can lie in a hammock by the pond, sit on a deckchair in the orangery, on the terrace or on a blanket spread out on the meadow and simply absorb the silence. You can also light a bonfire or grill and enjoy long evenings under the stars. And if you feel like active relaxation - the possibilities are almost endless!

You can drive there or use the convenient option: park at the nearby PKP station (3 minutes from us), take the train and get off right on the cross-country trails. Just put on your skis and you can glide towards Chatka Górzystów for delicious pancakes!

We do not have classic desks, but our large, comfortable tables are great as a place to work. And if you get bored of sitting at a computer within four walls, you can move to the terrace, to the orangery or even to a lounger in the garden.
