Welcome to Lower Silesia, which offers a lot to discover, but does not force you to do anything. You can as well stay by the pond, sit in the winter garden or on the terrace, cut yourself off from the world and do nothing. We are located on the outskirts of Piechowice, near the forest, from which you can go straight to mountain trails. However, before you set off, make yourself comfortable in a comfortable apartment with a fireplace in the living room, prepare something delicious in the comfortable kitchen and take a walk around our area. Next to the barn there is a charming pond, on the plot we also have an old, recreated orchard and a piece of forest with a clearing for a bonfire, from which there is a wonderful view of the mountains.
About 50 meters from us there is a place from which you will go to Bobrowe Skały and the Witches' Glade. Straight ahead you will reach the Kropelka waterfall (where you can swim). We are located next to the slope along which the train climbs to Szklarska Poręba, it is worth taking a ride along this route because it offers beautiful views. You can take the bikes that we have on site and go to Szklarska Poręba for lunch. Thanks to road No. 366 from Piechowice to Kowary, you can easily reach Karpacz, Sosnówka, Podgórze and Świeradów.
We have prepared a small list of recommendations for you, for more you can contact us on site. What does the area offer?
– in Piechowice there is the second highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains, after Śnieżka, Wielki Szyszak, 1509 m above sea level,
– between Wielki Szyszak and Łabski Szczyt (1,471 m above sea level) there are Śnieżne Kotły, i.e. two glacial cirques, from which you can admire the panorama of the Karkonosze, the Jizera and Kaczawskie Mountains, the Rudawy Janowickie and the entire Jeleniogórska Valley, and in good weather you can also see Ślęża in the Foothills Sudety,
– Zbójnickie Skały, Kamieńczyk Waterfall, Szklarki Waterfall, Wysoki Kamień and Kociołki, a rock group with over 30 circular depressions in the shape of cauldrons (a yellow trail leads to them, which will also take you to the Złoty Widok viewing platform, from which there are panorama of the Karkonosze Mountains and Szklarska Poręba, a little further there is a closed quarry),
– bicycle routes where you can choose from – the Giant Bicycle Range with over 70 km of routes bearing the names of Slavic gods and demons (the closest to us is the 19.5 km Piechowice Loop, which runs between Michałowice, Piechowice and Jagniątkowo), single tracks in Michałowice and Świeradów-Zdrój, Karkonoski Express pod Reglami,
– cross-country trails – in the vicinity of Jakuszyce itself (approx. 16 km from us) there are at least 10 trails of varying degrees of difficulty, including: Jelenia Łąka or Trasa Bez Łaski,
– Termy Cieplickie with modern thermal pools,
– ruins of Chojnik castle,
– Julia Crystal Glassworks, where glass has been formed and decorated using traditional methods for 150 years (you can take part in workshops on site, e.g. blowing, painting and engraving on glass),
– Jelenia Góra, 10 km away, with the 18th-century sanctuary of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (an architectural gem, a copy of the cathedral in Stockholm), the Karkonosze Museum, a charming market square and the picturesque Krzywousty Hill,
– Szklarska Poręba, 8 km away, where the Ski Arena Szrenica is located (the largest ski resort in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains with 11 kilometers of slopes), you can also ski in Świeradów Zdrój or Harrachov.
