Ponikwa is hidden between the Jagodna massif and the Wyszkowski Ridge in the Upper Nysa Trench. Its name comes from disappearing. To escape is nothing else than to escape or to absorb. So you won't be surprised that in a place where you can hide from the world for a while, you can ventilate your head well. Yoga is also helpful in blowing away intrusive thoughts and getting rid of the multitude of them, so start the day with a few asanas on the terrace. Mats and a book with ideas for practice are waiting on site. After a calming session with a view of the Śnieżnik Massif and the Bystrzyckie Mountains, you can sit on the sofa in a comfortable, wooden house in the Sudetes style and stay there. You can go out to the meadow to pick herbs and make an infusion of lilac, dandelion or dandelion. You can also tie on comfortable shoes and go ahead. Forest and spa baths, mountain hikes, bicycle rides, visits to palaces and caves, as well as winter fun in nearby resorts or cross-country walks await you here. Dmuchawiec is a wooden cottage in the Sudetes style, nestled in the heart of a valley overlooking the Śnieżnik Massif and the Bystrzyckie Mountains.

Downstairs, there's a living room with a fold-out sofa and table, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with a shower. A staircase leads to an open-plan bedroom with one double bed and one single bed. The walls are decorated with a gallery of original paintings.

In front of the cottage is a large, furnished terrace, a fireplace, and a meadow full of herbs. A dry sauna is located next to the cottage. Fields and forests stretch out nearby, but buildings are also visible.

You can reach us by train. From Długopole-Zdrój station, you can walk here in less than 30 minutes.

In our Ponikwa, the sun rises over the Śnieżnik Massif and, in the evening, sinks behind the Bystrzyckie Mountains. The views are mesmerizing and unforgettable. Our wooden cottage is surrounded by meadows and forests, and the mountain breeze effectively clears our minds of the rush of thoughts. And often makes room for new ones. Yoga is also good for peace of mind, so the cottage is equipped with two mats and a book with yoga poses. Cold evenings are the perfect opportunity for a warming sauna session.

We love getting lost on the trails, sometimes finding our way to the Czech side of the Śnieżnik Massif, admiring the Wilczki Waterfall in Polish Switzerland, hiking in the magical Międzygórze region, or bathing in the icy Młoty Waterfall. We enjoy tasting the water from a spring flowing into three seas (while climbing Trójmorski Wierch), eating potatoes with cottage cheese and blueberry pancakes at the mountain shelter on Jagodna, strolling through the narrow streets of Bystrzyca Kłodzka, drinking spa water in the pump room, and relaxing during a hydromassage treatment in Długopole-Zdrój, a 5-minute drive from the cottage.

The red trail from Długopole to Przełęcz Spalona, a vast meadow and the summit of the Bystrzyckie Mountains, runs through Ponikwa. At this point, there's a crossroads of trails, where the red trail connects with the green and blue trails. We also enjoy hiking to Czerwiec and Kłodzka Góra. You can also climb Czerniec from the viewpoint in Gniewoszów. After a fifteen-minute drive, you'll have a 1.5-hour hike through a beautiful forest, ending with admiring the views from the observation tower of the valley, seven more towers, the Bystrzyckie Mountains, and the Śnieżnik Massif. The hike to Kłodzko Góra will take roughly the same amount of time. You'll head to a forest parking lot 8 km outside Kłodzko (GPS: Kłodzka Góra), and from there, through a beech forest, you'll reach the observation tower. You can also hike to Śnieżnik; the shortest route to this peak starts from Kletno (the ascent takes about 2 hours). Along the way, you'll pass a mineral water spring, a former marble quarry, a cave, and a mountain hut. Śnieżnik can also be climbed from Międzygórze, which is a 20-minute drive away. You can visit the Gold Mine in Złoty Stok with its underground tourist trail, the third largest castle in Poland (Książ Castle), the uranium mine in Kletno, and the Papermaking Museum in Duszniki-Zdrój, housed in an architecturally unique 17th-century paper mill. If you're looking to completely slow down, take a walk through one of the spa towns: Międzygórze, Lądek-Zdrój, Duszniki-Zdrój, Polanica-Zdrój, Kudowa-Zdrój, or Długopole-Zdrój.

Jodłów, just over 20 km from our cottage, is the starting point for two singletrack loops: Jodłów and Ostoja. Singletack Glacensis is the largest network of cycling trails in Poland, offering over 200 km of one-way bike paths. And in Dolni Morava in the Czech Republic, there's a Downhill Trail. On the Czech side, there's also a Sky Walk, a so-called trail in the clouds.

For skiing, we recommend the Dolni Morava or Bukova Hora resorts in the Czech Republic, as well as the smaller Cenkovice resort. The Polish resort of Czarna Góra is less than half an hour away. Cross-country skiing is also thriving in Spaloná.

Children can also clear their heads here, because this space, this view and the opportunity to commune with nature have an impact on everyone.
