Orańska – Międzygórze

Orańska is an alpine-style house with a view of Mount Igliczna and the surrounding lower mountain montane mixed forests. It is located in Międzygórze, a village in the Śnieżka Massif, located between the Wilczka and Bogoryja streams. We have 4 rooms in the house for you. Three are double beds, the fourth can accommodate 2-4 people (it has one double bed, one single bed and an extra bed). All rooms are located on the first floor. Everyone has their own bathroom. They differ in view from the window and colors, as well as slightly in size. We live on the ground floor of the house and we are there if you need anything. In the summer, we hang hammocks in our forest, and we set up tables and deckchairs in the garden in front of the house. The house is accessed via a steep road, chains are necessary in winter. We can help you put them on.

You can order vegetarian breakfasts from us, which we will deliver to your rooms on a tray at an agreed time. In the summer season we serve them in the garden. I bake pâtés, make bread spreads, create cheese boards, indulge in homemade preserves and make lemonades (e.g. from dandelion or thyme). I use the gifts of the forest, meadows and our greenhouse. The menu includes forest fruits and vegetables grown by us. Breakfasts can also be vegan, just let us know in advance about your need. There will be a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, plates and cutlery, and a coffee machine.

You will find us near Bystrzyca Kłodzka, in the Eastern Sudetes, at the foot of Śnieżnik. This is the location of the picturesque Międzygórze, considered the most beautiful village in Lower Silesia. Orańska is located a bit off the beaten track, right next to the forest, surrounded by a vast garden where, in warm months, we arrange a relaxation zone with hammocks among the trees, tables and deckchairs. When you leave our house, you will almost immediately find yourself on a hiking, cycling and cross-country trail. MIĘDZYGORZE Be sure to take a walk around Międzygórze, which delights with its wooden buildings in the Tyrolean style with beautiful carvings, cloisters, balconies and balustrades. In Międzygórze you can see the historic urban layout, the wooden and brick Gigant holiday house at ul. Sanatoryjna 5 from 1882 (built thanks to Dr. Heinrich Janisch, who founded a center for the treatment of lung diseases as a climatic station here and initiated the period of development of the town), Gigant II, the wooden church of St. Józefa Oblubieńca with a baroque interior, the Krokus and Alpejski Dwór guesthouses and the former post office building. You can stop by the Dom nad Wodospadem for lunch, and go to the Kotlina Gallery for some atmospheric souvenirs. FOR CYCLISTS Two singletrack loops start in Jodłów, less than 20 km from us: Jodłów and Ostoja. Singletack Glacensis is the largest network of bicycle routes in Poland, offering over 200 km of one-way paths for two-wheelers. And among our Czech neighbors in Dolni Morava there is the Downhill Trail. FOR MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS AND CLIMBING LOVERS You can go for a walk to Igliczna Mountain right from our place. You can choose from: the red trail leading over the Wilczka Waterfall to the shelter under Igliczna, the green trail leading to the stone flood barrier and from there leading quite steeply up, and the yellow trail leading through the Garden of Fairy Tales located on the slope of Lesieniec. Below the peak there is a small shelter and the Maria Śnieżna sanctuary. From Międzygórze you can also climb Śnieżnik, where there is a new observation tower, where an observation tower was recently built (it is 34 m high). On clear days, you can see Śnieżka from the top, but you can also see the Alpine peaks (Dr. Krzysztof Strasburger photographed the Schneeberg and Rax massifs from there, 281 and 292 km away, respectively). Climbing fans will find rocks and great climbing conditions in Międzygórze. There are fully developed rocks here, such as Wilk, Baszta or Kozie, as well as wild ones that are almost not visited at all. We recommend Skała Brzuszki and Płyta nad Brzuszki. IN WINTER SEASON Beautiful cross-country trails are located in the Bialskie Mountains. You can also go backcountry skiing in the area, and you can go ski touring to Śnieżnik. For skiing, we recommend the Dolni Morava or Bukova Hora resorts in the Czech Republic and the smaller Cenkovice resort. You can reach the Polish Czarna Góra in half an hour. The mentioned Dolni Morava complex also includes: a toboggan run, the Cloud Path, SkyBridge (the world's longest rope bridge for pedestrians) and playgrounds (including a water one). Where else is worth visiting, what to do and what to see? – A dam on the Wilczka River, the construction plan of which can be seen in Orańska, and the Wilczki Waterfall nature reserve, located in the Śnieżnicki Landscape Park. There are several viewing platforms and a historic bridge from the times of Marianna of Orange. The waterfall is beautifully lit at night and looks like the home of the elves from Tolkien's novel. – Marianna Orańska's Palace in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki. – The Phillumenistic Museum in Bystrzyca Kłodzka, which exhibits all objects related to the history of non-fire. – The ruins of the non-existent village of Rothflössel, currently Czerwony Strumień, where there are the remains of a baroque chapel. – Uranium mine in Kletno, where you can also visit the Earth Museum, the Bear Cave, a mineral heap and the flooded Kletno quarry. – Czech Pastviny reservoir (35 km from us), where you can rent kayaks, boats, or just swim.
