The first house was built by candlelight. They connected electricity only after 5 years of construction and 2 years after the first guests arrived. Well, Beskid Niski has always been on the outskirts of the world and remains so to this day. It is a unique land, full of dusty stories listened to over homemade bread, generously decorated with white cheese and your own currant jam. We have had the privilege of living there for 25 years. Those who came here as children managed to grow up and even start their own families. Many of them still come back to us to discover the world of the Lemkos, look at the meadows outside the window and build dams on the river. After all, you're never too old for that.
We warmly invite you to agritourism, where we meet at a common table, eat together, laugh and scratch the dogs' ears. We will be more than pleased if you would like to become part of our Beskid House.
We will host you in our three houses, which together create the House in the Meadows.
1) House by a spring - no pets here
On the ground floor of the House at the Source there is a spacious dining room where we eat meals together, a corner for preparing coffee or tea, and a large living room for relaxation. On warm days, we also invite you to the terrace. On the first floor there are two comfortable rooms: Łąkowy and Orzechowy.
The name of the house comes from a spring that broke out unexpectedly during construction. Fortunately, the situation was brought under control and the house is almost completed. Soon we will expand the space here with a second playroom with table football, a board game table, a children's corner, a library and a spacious room for yoga, pilates and other activities.
2) House from Lackowa - here with animals
The house from Lackowa is located opposite the Old House where we live. A separate entrance is hidden under a covered terrace, where each day you are more and more willing to stay a little longer than planned. There are two rooms: the Lackowy room on the ground floor and the intimate Summer room on the first floor.
3) House beyond the Potok - and here also with animals
Situated on meadows 100 meters from the main buildings, Dom za Potokiem was built from old Lemko chyżas from Łabowa and Czyrna. Apart from the Beskid spirit, there is a spacious living room with red sofas, a wide table for playing board games in the evenings, a quiet terrace for contemplating life and a small kitchenette.
Note - You can also rent the entire House za Potokiem for a larger group.
During holidays and holidays, our guests are mainly families with children. During off-season periods, both families and couples come here. Our house is inhabited by a cat, Felek, and two dogs: Ciapek and Kropka. However, they are not the first to cause a row and will respect your dogs' space if that is what they need. We just don't give up on Felek :)
It cannot be denied that a large group of our guests visit us because of our cuisine.
What our guests value most at Dom na Łąkach are breakfasts and dinners with dessert - included in the accommodation price. And although they are often initially intimidated by eating at the same table, requests for tea or butter quickly become the beginning of new friendships and something more than just polite conversations about the weather. Because when you try Mrs. Krysia's bundz or pampuchki with strawberry or mushroom sauce, the world suddenly becomes a nicer place :)
In the kitchen, we rely on local products from our neighbors or from our own garden. Everything possible is simply homemade. And when you leave us, you can take with you a piece of this house enclosed in a jar with currant jam, elderberry syrup, fresh bread or cheese made from the best Beskid milk.
We offer meat cuisine and, on request, vegetarian cuisine.
You must know that Beskid Niski is a wild and uninhabited land. A real mecca for history lovers, hikers who like it or families who don't like crowded attractions.
Every step is a step back in time, and every turn - a promise of adventure! You can conquer Lackowa - the highest peak of the Low Beskids or go on the Wooden Architecture Trail to discover the pearls of the Lemko region.
Not far from us are the health resorts of Krynica Zdrój and Wysowa with their attractions. The ski slopes in Krynica and Tylicz are 15 km away.
We will invite you to various workshops and meetings on site and in the surrounding area. With us you will learn how to make butter and oscypek cheese, and with our friends you will learn how to make motanka dolls and wax tablets. In the rooms next to the church you will discover the extraordinary world of bats. In fact, there are so many interesting things around that it is difficult to count them...
Also remember that we are on site, so feel free to ask us during breakfast or dinner what is worth seeing here :)
What’s there for children?
Around the house there are hectares of meadows, forests and fairy-tale streams waiting for little explorers. The natural playground also includes a secret gorge, wooden houses and even... a small plane.
In the common room you will find books and games for both young and old. Don't worry about baby chairs or extra beds for the little ones - everything is there. And when you want to hide in a hammock for a while, your children will always find company to play with.
In summer and winter, together with the Society from Beskid Niski, we organize workshops for children and adults. You will discover the mysterious world of bats, learn how to make oscypek cheese, motanka dolls, kites and natural cosmetics.
Some of these attractions take place in the House on the Meadows, others in the immediate vicinity. The nearby stud farm invites you for horse riding and sleigh rides, and in summer also to an outdoor cinema.
Children up to 2 years of age stay with us for free. For those older than 6 years of age, we charge 50% of the given price. Additional baby cot in the room - PLN 25/day.
What’s there for employees?
The fact that several books, scripts and projects have already been created at Dom na Łąkach proves that we work well creatively. You can work in your room (most rooms have a table or desk), in the meadow, or in common living rooms, which are usually empty during the day when guests go to various attractions. We have GSM T-mobile and Orange coverage, and working WiFi. The Plus network hasn't reached us yet, which some people say is a plus :)
And after work, we will feed you tasty and good food, so that you can get up from the computer and go for a walk without any additional responsibilities.
