Grandpa Karol was a carpenter. When he was returning through the forest from the oil mine in Mokre, he stared at the slender fir trees. He imagined what function they would play in his and his grandmother Jadwiga's home. The log building, thanks to the cooperation of family and neighbors, was built in 1949. Next to it there was a stable, the roof tiles of which were made by grandma and grandpa themselves using a special mold, mixing sand and cement. Today it is our carpentry shop, where we have made many items for the home. Still smelling of wood and creaking, telling all sorts of stories. Its upper part belongs to us, the ground floor with a separate entrance will be a comfortable apartment with two bedrooms and a living room connected to the kitchen, perfect for seven people with pets. Karolówka is characterized by a certain property that we call slowing down of time. It is a calming place, although visitors from the city usually need a few days to realize that they can rest. We have a sofa bed in the garden among old trees, a table where you can sit alone or with us, and proximity to a warm mountain river. Can you ask for anything more?

Host:
Monika i Konrad
Together with my wife Monika, we renovated a wooden house that belonged to her grandparents. The house was built in 1949. We decided to share this charming place with our guests. Relax, our guest, in a hammock in the garden among fruit trees and bushes, light a fire, throw potatoes into the embers and listen to the roaring river flowing next to the house. You're welcome.

We welcome you to the Bukowskie Foothills, close to the Sanocko-Turczańki Mountains and the border of the Bieszczady Mountains and the Low Beskid Mountains. In our wooden house dating back to 1949, we have a 75-square-meter apartment for you, located on the ground floor. Inside you will find: two bedrooms, a living room with a kitchen and dining room, and a bathroom with a shower. In one of the bedrooms there is a large bed 320x200, in the other two single beds 90x200 which can be joined into one large 180x200. This bedroom also has a fireplace. You can also sleep on the sofa in the living room. When unfolded, the futon mattress measures 160x200 cm. We have a smart TV with access to fast fiber-optic Internet and paid movie channel packages, books, albums and guides to the region. In the slightly wild garden surrounding the house there are apple trees, cherries and fruit bushes. There will also be a hammock and places for barbecuing and playing bocce ball. Right next to the house flows the mountain river Osława, on which we have a private, green beach and a bonfire place with benches. The plot is tightly fenced and your pets are welcome. Do you want to go somewhere without your dog, e.g. to a mountain trail or to a restaurant? You can leave your pet at home or in our care, we are experienced. We will be happy to take care of him and keep him company.

We welcome you to Czaszyn, which is located on the Osława River. The river that flows right next to the house divides the Bukowskie Foothills from the Western Bieszczady Mountains. A little to the north of us are the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains, to the south (and a little further) is the border between the Low Beskids and the Bieszczady Mountains. In the slightly wild garden that surrounds our house, you can feel like you are on holiday with your grandparents in the countryside. We created a covered patio with a sofa bed, table and barbecue area. There is a hammock and a swing-chair hanging among the trees. Cherry, sour cherry and apple trees bear fruit during the season and provide shade on hot days. Share their gifts! A few steps from the house we have a green, private beach on Osława. There is a fireplace with benches. You can swim there, fish, and in winter go winter swimming. We are surrounded by colorful, fragrant meadows and forests full of paths. Roe deer, red deer and bison come out to the nearby clearings near the forest in the evening. Many species of birds live in the area, so if you are a photography or birdwatching enthusiast, you will be pleased. Two bikes are waiting on site, if you need more, a nearby rental shop will deliver them to us. Our area (closer and slightly further) is full of attractions. We have prepared a list of them for you: – Dam in Solina (30 km from us) and Lake Solina. A cable car route runs along the dam, from which you can admire the lake, the surrounding hills and the green gentle ranges of the Słonne Mountains and the Bieszczady Mountains, while you can sail or kayak on the lake, as well as kitesurfing. – Lake Myczkowskie (30 km from us) surrounded by a network of walking trails. It's more wild and intimate here than on Lake Solina. You can have a picnic on the grass by the shore or go to the viewpoint in the quarry in Bóbrka. – Historical and cultural path Around Baladhora, thanks to which you will discover the most interesting places and areas of the villages of Morochów, Mokre and the no longer existing village of Zawadka Morochowska. – There are several health resorts in the area where you can taste mineral waters, these are: Iwonicz, Rymanów, Krynica and Polańczyk. – You can see beautiful wooden Orthodox churches, among others: in Ulucz, Szczawno, Komańcza and Morochowo. – Przełom Osławy Pod Duszatynem nature reserve, from where the trail leads to the Zwiezło Reserve with Duszatyńskie Lakes on the slope of Chryszczata. The second of the nearby reserves is Przełom Osławy Pod Mokrem. – Sanok (15 km from us) with the Museum of Folk Architecture, where you can see examples of wooden architecture of the Bieszczady and Beskid Niski, and the Historical Museum with a gallery of Zdzisław Beksiński's works. – Przemyśl (80 km from us), one of the oldest Polish cities, with a beautiful market square, an underground tourist route, an arboretum, the Museum of Bells and Pipes and a ski slope. – Lesko (11 km from us), where you can see the Kmita Castle from the 16th century, located on the banks of the San River, and a synagogue with one of the most valuable Jewish cemeteries in Poland (the oldest grave dates back to the first half of the 16th century). – Park of Miniature Temples in Myczkowce. – Góra Sobień Reserve with a viewing platform (the so-called Bieszczady Gate). – Ruins of the Discalced Carmelite Monastery in Zagórze. – Tourist trails of the Sanok-Turczańskie Mountains (e.g. the Red Przemyśl-Sanok Trail, the Trail in the Footsteps of the Good Soldier Švejk or the Yellow Trail from Orle Kamień to Sanok). – We are about 70 km away from the Połoniny: Wetlińska and Caryńska. The nearest ski stations and ski lifts are in Wańkowa, Weremień, Bystre, Kalnica, Ustrzyki Dolne and Puławy. In winter you can go ski tours. And in the summer, we recommend rafting on the San River.

What’s there for children?

Go to photo editor Photo edit

Children will have at their disposal the entire garden, a green beach by the river, a tent and everything that is best in nature - trees, sticks and pebbles. The youngest will have fun watching waterfowl and domestic birds. Children can shoot a bow under the supervision of their parents or play boules. The biggest attraction, however, is swimming in the clean and warm river in summer, where you can also release ducks and build dams.

Polecamy serdecznie :) Karolówka to miejsce niesamowicie klimatyczne. Stara drewniana chata, która dostała kolejne życie. Cudownie odnowiona wita zapachem drewna i przytulnością, którą daje drewno. No i teraz najważniejsze: gospodarze. Bardzo dyskretni, a jednocześnie ciągle gotowi żeby coś przynieść, poprawić, zamienić kilka słów, podrzucić rzodkiewkę z własnej grządki czy mleko i sery od Pani z okolicy. My bardzo chętnie do Karolówki wrócimy i będziemy polecać znajomym :)

Trzy metrowe łóżko to przebój! Możnaby wymieniać ochy i achy Karolówki (w pełni zasłużone!) w nieskończoność. I najważniejsze - Karolówkę stworzyli i włożyli w nią całe serce, cudowni ludzie - Monika i Konrad. To oni tworzą magię tego miejsca. To dla nich warto przemierzyć całą Polskę. W korkach i deszczu.
