Grandpa Karol was a carpenter. When he was returning through the forest from the oil mine in Mokre, he stared at the slender fir trees. He imagined what function they would play in his and his grandmother Jadwiga's home. The log building, thanks to the cooperation of family and neighbors, was built in 1949. Next to it there was a stable, the roof tiles of which were made by grandma and grandpa themselves using a special mold, mixing sand and cement. Today it is our carpentry shop, where we have made many items for the home. Still smelling of wood and creaking, telling all sorts of stories. Its upper part belongs to us, the ground floor with a separate entrance will be a comfortable apartment with two bedrooms and a living room connected to the kitchen, perfect for seven people with pets. Karolówka is characterized by a certain property that we call slowing down of time. It is a calming place, although visitors from the city usually need a few days to realize that they can rest. We have a sofa bed in the garden among old trees, a table where you can sit alone or with us, and proximity to a warm mountain river. Can you ask for anything more?
We welcome you to the Bukowskie Foothills, close to the Sanocko-Turczańki Mountains and the border of the Bieszczady Mountains and the Low Beskid Mountains. In our wooden house dating back to 1949, we have a 75-square-meter apartment for you, located on the ground floor. Inside you will find: two bedrooms, a living room with a kitchen and dining room, and a bathroom with a shower. In one of the bedrooms there is a large bed 320x200, in the other two single beds 90x200 which can be joined into one large 180x200. This bedroom also has a fireplace. You can also sleep on the sofa in the living room. When unfolded, the futon mattress measures 160x200 cm.
We have a smart TV with access to fast fiber-optic Internet and paid movie channel packages, books, albums and guides to the region.
In the slightly wild garden surrounding the house there are apple trees, cherries and fruit bushes. There will also be a hammock and places for barbecuing and playing bocce ball. Right next to the house flows the mountain river Osława, on which we have a private, green beach and a bonfire place with benches.
The plot is tightly fenced and your pets are welcome.
Do you want to go somewhere without your dog, e.g. to a mountain trail or to a restaurant? You can leave your pet at home or in our care, we are experienced. We will be happy to take care of him and keep him company.
On site, you will be able to buy local specialties from local farmers. We can arrange honey, white cheese, milk and butter for you.
We welcome you to Czaszyn, which is located on the Osława River. The river that flows right next to the house divides the Bukowskie Foothills from the Western Bieszczady Mountains. A little to the north of us are the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains, to the south (and a little further) is the border between the Low Beskids and the Bieszczady Mountains.
In the slightly wild garden that surrounds our house, you can feel like you are on holiday with your grandparents in the countryside. We created a covered patio with a sofa bed, table and barbecue area. There is a hammock and a swing-chair hanging among the trees. Cherry, sour cherry and apple trees bear fruit during the season and provide shade on hot days. Share their gifts!
A few steps from the house we have a green, private beach on Osława. There is a fireplace with benches. You can swim there, fish, and in winter go winter swimming.
We are surrounded by colorful, fragrant meadows and forests full of paths. Roe deer, red deer and bison come out to the nearby clearings near the forest in the evening. Many species of birds live in the area, so if you are a photography or birdwatching enthusiast, you will be pleased. Two bikes are waiting on site, if you need more, a nearby rental shop will deliver them to us.
