At a glance
Welcome to the Biłgoraj region, on the Czarna Łada River, surrounded by the Solska Forest. The local forests are famous for their wilderness areas, home to wolves, lynxes, beavers, otters, mud turtles, and several species of bats. Brodziaki is nestled in such natural surroundings. Our village takes its name from the fords on the Łada River—shallow stretches of riverbed with firm ground and a calm current that allow for crossing to the other side. Opposite the chapel commemorating the January Uprising, we have a charming wooden cottage. It's already a hundred years old, and my father, Wiesiek, who was born there, knows every plank here. A few years ago, he meticulously and lovingly breathed new life into it. It has a cottage-like atmosphere, although we also have a tub of bubbles and a shelter by the river where you can build a fire. In autumn, the house is overgrown with vines, and the surrounding forests are filled with brown caps. Spring blooms with lilacs and tulips, in summer, poppies bloom in the meadows, and the reddest tomatoes sprout in the garden. We'd be happy to treat you to some of them. We'll also share our home-cooked eggs, homemade pizza, warm yeast rolls, and tell you where to go to better explore Roztocze.

Hi, my name is Bartek. I was incredibly fortunate to be born in the Roztocze region, raised here, and learned to see the world in harmony with nature.
Chałupka is a place that was my father's family home. Together with him, with our own hands, we renovated this nearly 100-year-old cottage and saved it from ruin. Every restored piece of furniture, every detail with a story, brought us incredible joy – and to this day, this place carries that passion and heart.
My mother, Magda, supports me daily – she takes care of the cleanliness, cozy decor, and all the little details that create a warm, homely atmosphere. She also answers the phone and is always happy to answer your questions about the house and the surrounding area.
We've been renting the cottage on a small scale for three years. We value the peace, quiet, and idyllic setting of our place – and that's what we want to share with you.
