You can forget about everything in this cottage. When we met her, an unearthly sight opened before us and that was enough. The climate here also contributed. It was rural, homely, idyllic, and a dwarf was walking around the yard. The wooden highland house is 100 years old. Just a decade ago, the neighbor's cows were grazing nearby, a horse from Buczyna was carrying wood to the forest, and Mr. Staszek was carrying hay on his back. Today, the cottage is comfortable, modern and has fast internet. For a quarter of a century it was only ours, it housed our children and was a place for workshops and friendly meetings. She has also been a guest for three years.
You don't come to the picturesque hamlet of Dolina in the Żywiec Beskids by accident. You can't drive here and you have to persevere to get here and sit on the terrace overlooking Babia Góra, Police and Jałowiec. Bake potatoes in the fireplace in the living room. Be bored. Lie down on the grass, listen to the wind and the rustling grass. Read the book to the end, go mushroom picking, bake bread and pick wild flowers. We have a lot of greenery and air here, and we experience nature more intensely. The snowflakes are fancier, the grass colors are more intense, and the smoke from the chimney is fragrant. Simple activities like chopping wood, lighting a fire, cooking or listening to music are more enjoyable than anywhere else.
You can forget about everything in this cottage and we encourage you to do so.
In the picturesque hamlet of Dolna Zawoja, one hundred meters from the forest, in the Jałowiecki Range, there is a 100-year-old house. It stands at 860 m above sea level. and boasts a fabulous view of Babia Góra.
Five rooms, a living room with a kitchen and a living room can accommodate 16-18 people (the house has 16 beds and 2 extra beds are possible). On the ground floor we have a "village" living room combined with a dining area with a stove and a kitchen. On this level there are also three double rooms (two with double beds) and a bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. On the first floor there are two rooms - a four-person room and a triple room, as well as a living room with three beds and a bathroom.
Downstairs there will be a table, an open fireplace and a wood stove at your disposal. You will be responsible for lighting the stove, which will heat the water and all the rooms. The cut and prepared wood will be waiting on site. In front of the house there is a terrace with a large table, deckchairs and a hectare of land with a barbecue area.
You won't reach us directly. You leave your car at Przełęcz Kolędówki. It is 1100 m to the house. We can arrange transport of your luggage to our cottage.
You cook your own meals. The kitchen is well-equipped, you will find everything you need for cooking, even groats and spices. A wood-fired fireclay oven is perfect for pizza, and a grate on the fireplace and a grill with a fireplace outside will allow you to carry out most culinary madness.
We have the option to order meals on request. Then Gabrysia cooks for you. If you are interested, let us know.
The house is located right next to the trail to Mount Jałowiec (1111 m above sea level). Włóczykije can go on short and full-day hikes to Kiczora, Przełęcz Klekociny and Beskidek. The Opaczne shelter and the Jałowiec peak are nearby. On a nice day, it is worth attacking the holy Babia Góra, because the sunrises and sunsets there can remain in your memories.
For those who love two-wheelers, there are many routes in the area (single tracks Babia Góra Trails and PKL Bike Parks Mosorny Groń with enduro and freeride routes).
Hikers can enjoy the Roztoki waterfall on Mosorny Potok, one of the largest in the Beskids (8 meters high). You can also see the castle in Sucha Beskidzka and the famous Rzym inn, where you can taste locally farmed trout.
Many old chapels and roadside figures from the 18th century have been preserved in Zawoja. It is also worth going to Hala Barankowa, a clearing where sheep graze seasonally (April - September). There is a shepherd's hut where you can see how cheese is made from sheep's milk. There is a beautiful view of Babia Góra from the Hala. You can get there by car or on foot (on the black trail).
Zawoja boasts several ski slopes, including the excellent and perfectly prepared, although rather for advanced skiers, Mosorny Groń ski resort. There are Wojtek and Baca ski lifts for beginners and intermediate skiers. There you can learn to drive with an instructor.

What’s there for employees?
Even though cottage life is slow, the internet here is exceptionally fast. Although we planned for this place to be a complete reset, in the end a large plate hung on our roof. Thanks to this, browsing e-mails, scrolling social media, making calls and watching TV series in the evenings can take place here without any obstacles.
