It all started in Masuria. Our stay in agritourism made us want to find a place for ourselves. A trip through well-known holes near my hometown Lubomierz led us to one unknown to me: during a walk from Janice we came to Grudza. I was sitting in a meadow there and I was lost. The search for a plot required a lot of determination from us. We knocked from door to door, looked at maps, and our hearts skipped a beat in the place overlooking the village church. When it became ours, I enrolled in interior design studies. Sławek learned how to lay microcement, we were looking for appropriate solutions and items. We found beauty in imperfection, we used the wabi-sabi style, aesthetically focusing on earthy colors. The houses in the Jizera landscape resemble gray stones in a field. They offer mesmerizing views. You can absorb them from the bathtub in the largest bedroom and from the terraces. Although the Jizera Mountains are the true Polish pole of cold, we love this climate, these lupine fields, fog in the morning and our small park full of trees. We have linen bathrobes for you in which you can walk around the meadow to ground yourself, we have plates and cups from handicraftsmen to make each meal a small celebration. Don't let the white sofa fool you, this space is popular with adults, invites children and wants six people to spend time together, stare at the mountains, cook, reflect by the fireplace and breathe.
In the highest village of the Jizera Foothills, we have created two independent, year-round houses called Cozy Izeria. Both houses are available to you.
Each house has 98 m² and a comfortable interior made of natural materials, decorated in the style of warm minimalism. You will find a large living room with a fireplace combined with a dining room and kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower and three bedrooms (on the first floor). The largest has a double bed and a bathtub with a view of the mountains, the two smaller ones have 2 single beds that can be put together or separated.
We have an unearthly view of the Karkonosze Mountains (we warn you that it is hypnotizing) and a large garden, created for relaxation. On site, you will also find: a small park with hammocks, a large terrace with garden furniture and a place for a bonfire. There is also a ski room and a bicycle room at your disposal, located in the basement. We would like to point out that the area of our property is fenced, but both houses are not.
When creating our place, we were guided by the love and appreciation of imperfection. The facade boards were naturally covered with patina, ensuring that the houses fit into the surroundings, the interiors are to satisfy aesthetic needs, and the exteriors provide a soothing rest in nature.
The fully equipped kitchen will allow you to cook and bake any dish. The kitchen island provides comfort and awakens the desire to become a master chef. We only ask you to be careful, because the knives are sharp and the views are distracting. We have many beautiful plates and original ceramics on site, to turn any meal and coffee or tea breaks into a celebration.
In addition, we give you the opportunity to order breakfast baskets, which are delivered at the agreed time straight to your door.
Grudza, the highest situated village of the Jizera Foothills, in three words means: silence, peace and emptiness. Our plot offers a view of 13 peaks. On the right you will see the Jizera Mountains, and on the left, Rudawy Janowickie and the Kaczawskie Mountains. It is also very close to our Czech and German neighbors. Grudza was once called Bonaluti after the name of the Benedictine nuns from Lubomierz. In the mid-19th century it became a summer resort called Birngrütz. Guidebooks of that time wrote about the wonderful views here. A souvenir from those times still grows today - an over 300-year-old pear tree, the oldest and probably the thickest in Poland. You can go for a walk there, while also viewing the ruins of a Dutch windmill.
We are surrounded by fields and meadows. You can ground yourself by walking barefoot on the grass (and be sure to wear a linen bathrobe waiting for you at home). You can also experience blissful relaxation by ordering a facial or body massage from us, performed by an experienced masseuse.
To get to the mountain trails, a 10-minute drive is enough. Go to Kwieciszowice, Antoniow or Przecznica. If you want to ride bikes, you will be happy to know that a bicycle trail from Mirsk to Świeradów runs through Grudz. Numerous singletracks start there and connect with those on the Czech side, running to Nové Město pod Smrkem. You can also go to Jakuszyce and cycle through the winter cross-country trails. From our plot you can clearly see Śnieżne Kotły, which you can access from Szrenica. This route in winter is also great for cross-country skiing. The area around Jakuszyce is also recommended for cross-country skiing.
In winter, you can ski or board in three locations: in Świeradów, Szklarska Poręba and Karpacz. A little further away is SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC, the largest Czech ski resort.

– underground Tourist Route of the St. Mine Jan in Krobica - Geopark, where tin and cobalt have been mined for several centuries,
– Jelenia Góra, located in a valley with the Karkonosze Mountains in the background,
– Lubomierz with a charming market square and the Kargul and Pawlak museum,
– Cieplice Baths,
– Sky Walk, or a path in the clouds in Świeradów-Zdrój leading to a height of 62 meters, which ends with a 105-meter slide,
– Stóg Izerski – on foot or by gondola lift from Świeradów-Zdrój,
– hydroelectric power plant and dam on Lake Leśniańskie,
– kayaking trip down the Bóbr Valley,
– Pilchowice Dam,
– Jizera Dark Sky Reserve, where the visibility of stars is 40 times greater than in the center of a larger city, which allows you to observe all constellations in our latitude,
– a reservoir after a former basalt mine with water in an amazing azure color.

We have a small playground with swings and a slide. However, we believe that children have the best time when they can use their creativity and imagination. You can pick blackberries in the clearing and play shop or café. You can swing in a hammock or watch the tractor that comes to collect bales from the field. You can also launch paper airplanes from the terrace or organize an open-air painting session on the boards. In the evening, you can sit together by the campfire, watch the shooting stars and make wishes.
A trip to the village for ice cream or to the playground with a view of Śnieżne Kotły are also good ideas for keeping the little ones busy. Our favorite joint activity is observing the mountains through binoculars, and on long weekends through a telescope, which is displayed at a nearby viewpoint. You can also visit the Izerska Łąka educational center, where various cyclical events take place, such as viewing planets with telescopes, workshops on insects or observing owls. Another great idea might be a walk with the alpacas from the enclosure in Proszówka towards the chapel of St. Leopold.
In one of the bedrooms there is a desk where you can work in a classic form. In a less standard way, you can sit at the table in the dining room or on a lounger on the terrace. The soothing interior has a regenerative effect on the mind, as do the views. We do not have fiber optics, only LTE internet, which works quite quickly and copes with sending large files.
