Tourists do not miss Bukowina, but it is quiet here. Here, on the slope of Wierch Buńdowy, where Basia's grandfather's field used to be. There are still clumps of blueberries that she picked as a child. We both come from Bukowina, we know its history and inhabitants, because everyone knows each other here. The once inaccessible Podhale settlement began to develop in earnest after the war, when the first bus line was launched here. Earlier, in 1932, the People's House was built in Bukowina Tatrzańska - one of the largest wooden buildings in Poland, built with the efforts of local social activist Franciszek Ćwiżewicz. The history of the People's House, which is still bustling with life today, is an expression of the involvement of Bukowina residents in cultivating regional traditions. We value them too, which is why we placed two unique wooden armchairs in the living room of our house built by Basia's brother. A long time ago, they were carved for the Głódówka shelter by students of the famous Art High School in Zakopane. We believe that the empty mountain slopes observed from their perspective will appear to you in all their charm.

Our house can accommodate 6 people (2 in the bedroom and 4 in the remaining accommodation).
It has:
– kitchenette connected to the dining room,
– right next to it, an open living room where 2 people can sleep on the sofa,
– bathroom with shower,
– closed bedroom on the mezzanine (double bed),
– open space with a large window, where there is a fold-out couch for 2 people.

The area around our house is not fenced. We are still working on its development: we want to create a flower meadow here and plant Tatra plants. For now, there is a small terrace in front of the house, and you will also find deckchairs to relax in the summer.

We have only 1 neighbor in the immediate vicinity, and all other houses are located at the back of the hamlet. Nothing in front of our house will block your view of the mountains.

Bukowina Tatrzańska is one of the youngest villages in Podhale. She always developed reluctantly, as if she didn't want to. That's probably why it has such charm. Here are the top 10 things to do when you come here:

1. Breathe. We are on Buńdowy Wierch, and we have left all the buildings behind us. Take advantage of the space of the still isolated area.
2. See. The view of the Tatra Mountains deserves at least a few breakfast updates of your Instagram profile.
3. Read a book on the couch by the large window. There is definitely one waiting for its moment. Maybe this is her moment.
3. Come to Sabałowe Bajania in August. This is one of the most interesting folk festivals in Poland.
4. Visit the People's House - one of the largest and most famous wooden buildings in Poland. There are workshops for children and adults (pottery, glass painting, ceramics).
5. Go skiing. The nearest ski lift is only 1 km away.
6. Go for a swim. There are 12 swimming pools in the Bukovina Thermal Baths, and swimming pools with natural sulfur water in Gorujemy Potok in Szaflary.
7. Do something unexpected - visit the Beer Spa on Krupówki. You can bathe there in beer and then lie down on a straw bed.
8. Eat something good. You have to visit at least 4 inns where they will serve you tasty regional cuisine.
9. Visit one of the caves in the Chochołowska Valley. A little climbing and squeezing through cracks is good for your sense of humor.
10. Go for a bike ride. There are great asphalt routes around for those who are not afraid of going uphill.

If you would like to come to us with children, remember that it is difficult to be bored in the Bukowina area. And although we have not prepared any special attractions for little guests apart from board games, we are sure that they will love sledding down the slope in winter, the rope park and the thermal baths in summer.
