The first time I reached Marczów by kayak and I was lost. I fell in love with this village. Then I discovered a house in a valley by a stream. Surrounded by greenery on three sides, sheltered from the neighbor's eyes on the fourth. Greenery, birds singing, the sound of water... Instagram, my story or even a beautiful photo session cannot convey the charm of this place. It was here that I decided to create a refuge for myself and my loved ones, with a large table for entertaining, a terrace and a kitchen equipped so that nothing would be missing. With attention to detail, not sparing on materials, always keeping in mind that the house should be a place for relaxation. The surrounding area is also favorable for him: a village full of chapels, beautiful walking routes, and a stud farm. If you want, you can get into a kayak and sail down the Bóbr River like I did that day. And if not, sit on the terrace and enjoy the sound of the Ośna stream flowing along the garden.
Marczów is a small, quiet village in the Bóbr Valley. The house to which I invite you is located in a green, intimate area by the Ośna stream.
In the house you will find:
– 2 bedrooms
· with a large double bed,
· with a large double bed,
– open room on the mezzanine with 2 single beds and a work space,
– living room with sofa, armchair, TV, fireplace and garden view,
– kitchenette and dining table,
– 2 bathrooms with showers,
– terrace with garden furniture.
There is also a sauna waiting for you outside. It costs PLN 300 per stay (or PLN 200 if there are max. 3 people).
The plot is fenced with a wooden fence and there is monitoring on the property.
If you like cooking, you won't be disappointed. Our modern kitchen is well-equipped, and a large wooden table encourages you to spend time over long meals and conversations.
You can buy cheese and eggs at a nearby farm.
The surrounding area is a typical agricultural area, fields and farms. In the village there are many chapels, beautiful walking routes, and a stud farm where you can also admire alpacas. Moreover, the Ośna stream flows along the plot and you can enjoy its sound while sitting on the terrace.
The entire area is the Jizera Foothills, an area famous for word tourism and people who love communing with nature. The land of extinct volcanoes.
Personally, I love kayaking on the Bóbr River, which flows through Marczów, and my passion is cycling trips, which are very popular in the region.
In the area, we have walking/running routes, bicycle paths, and trails running through the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park. We recommend tourist trails starting in Wleń and Pilchowice. You can also see local historical and natural monuments:
– The Duke's Castle in Wleń with the Góra Zamkowa Nature Reserve,
– dam, bridge and railway tunnel in Pilchowice,
– sandstone rock formations in the surrounding forests,
– Prince's Tower in Siedlęcin,
– Nielestno railway station and railway bridge – the place of the first scene from the movie "How I Unleashed World War II".
The Bóbr Valley has wonderful neighbors - the Kaczawskie Foothills and Mountains, the Jelenia Góra Valley, the Jizera Mountains. A one-day trip to the Land of Extinct Volcanoes (15 minutes by car) or to the Jizera trails (about half an hour) is within reach.
What’s there for children?
For children, there is a safe, fenced area where you can play. 50 meters from the house there is a village community center and on its premises a fenced playground and an outdoor gym. Only 2 km away there is a horse farm, where you will also meet fluffy alpacas, and the entire Bóbr Valley offers plenty of adventures. You can go on a kayaking trip, hiking along picturesque trails or go on an expedition to the nearby Land of Extinct Volcanoes.
What’s there for employees?
We have fast internet, and you can hide in the mezzanine and work in peace. There is a desk with a monitor and even a fan waiting for you to cool you down on hot days. For work, I also recommend a large table in the living room, from where you can observe the garden during breaks.
