Raccoons have no morals at all. We have one here who regularly comes to rummage through the garbage can, and although there is no benefit from it, it is a great attraction. We also have a Labrador who loves all people, and two cats who live very happy lives, because how can you not live in such circumstances? Our house is located in the middle of the forest and when I started living here alone, I constantly heard questions - am I not so afraid alone in the forest? I then replied that I slept with baseball. Now I don't have to, because I know that the forest is a friend, not a threat. My visitors appreciate the natural shelter from the world provided by trees. Here you can hide away, forget and focus on what is important in life: spend time with yourself, laugh and enjoy culinary delights in good company. And if you are an active and ambitious tourist, know that you couldn't have chosen a better place. The Bóbr Valley and its surroundings offer you an inexhaustible wealth of experiences: bicycle trails and non-obvious hiking routes, castles, palaces and local slow food, and breathtaking views at every step. If you have a problem selecting attractions, I will advise you. From my apartment in the former sheepfold, I check whether the wild boars have clogged the well with mud and whether the raccoon is not bothering my guests.
I invite you to a house in the forest, located right on the edge of the Bóbr River. We are located in the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park, a stone's throw from the Pilchowicka Dam.
House layout:

– living room with a fold-out sofa (2 people can sleep here) and a table for 8 people,

– bedroom with a large double bed and a bathroom,
– bedroom with a double bed and access to the bathroom from the hall,

– a bookcase and 2 large mattresses, 160 cm wide (children's favorite sleeping place).
In the basement of the house there is an apartment where I live, and partly also where my husband lives. The apartment has a separate entrance from the other side of the house, so we won't get in each other's way. I will be happy to help and tell you what and how, but you can count on privacy and space for yourself.
Our animals live on site: a friendly Labrador retriever who loves guests and 2 cats. Here, your pets can count on a warm welcome (unfortunately only dogs, because cats do not react well to other kittens). However, keep in mind that we are in the forest, there are animals roaming around (e.g. wild boars, deer, raccoons or martens) and you will need to keep an eye on your guests. If you're interested, I can lend you a rope to help keep an eye on the dog. If you would like to come with a large dog, be sure to ask in advance what type of dog it is.
Just take food with you, don't worry about anything else. In the kitchen you will find absolutely everything you need for cooking, including oils and spices.
You can get bored here (psttt... we won't tell anyone!). The house provides peace and quiet, and at the same time is an ideal base for various trips and attractions.
In the area, we have walking/running routes, bicycle paths, and trails running through the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park. We recommend tourist trails starting in Wleń and Pilchowice. You can also see local historical and natural monuments:
– The Duke's Castle in Wleń with the Góra Zamkowa Nature Reserve,
– dam, bridge and railway tunnel in Pilchowice,
– sandstone rock formations in the surrounding forests,
– Prince's Tower in Siedlęcin,
– Nielestno railway station and railway bridge – the place of the first scene from the movie "How I Unleashed World War II".
The Bóbr Valley has wonderful neighbors - the Kaczawskie Foothills and Mountains, the Jelenia Góra Valley, the Jizera Mountains. A one-day trip to the Land of Extinct Volcanoes (15 minutes by car) or the Jizera trails (about half an hour) is within reach.
What’s there for children?
There are amenities for children in the form of books and games, as well as a whole green area around, ready for fun. Please remember that our plot is not fenced.
Children love spending time in the attic and sometimes stay there for the entire stay. You can spread out mattresses in the attic and sleep there.
What’s there for employees?
We have a very good internet connection, so if you want to work on site, no problem. However, there is no special workstation with a desk at home - as long as you don't mind working at the dining room table or on the sofa, you will be happy.
