Mondays are lazy in Leszczewo. Tuesdays are basically the same, Wednesdays are also not the worst. If you think about it, in natural circumstances like this, it becomes quite an effort - every day of the week is lazy here. Because the circumstances are truly lazy, the greenery is pleasing to the eyes, the trees cast a shadow, and the memories of the former habitat in the Wigry National Park are still present. Movements become slow (this rule does not apply to children), bodies become lazy, hair is loose, and decisions about what to do are not made immediately. However, there is no need to think about this feature of our piece of Suwałki countryside, it is better to indulge in leisurely drinking coffee on the terrace and eating quiche aux poireaux at a table under a linden tree. The one Patrycja planted when she was 6 years old. The tree has grown and a house has been built on it, which can be visited by daredevils who specialize in tree climbing. And next door, on the foundations of a hundred-year-old house ruined by time, we rebuilt a new, large house with respect to its former form. We gave it a light gray façade mixed with blue, and we decorated the interior in natural colors, mixing modernity with rusticity. You will be happy to see the meadows surrounding us, the river flowing nearby and the news that you can swim across one of the nearby lakes or bask in laziness on a pier where you can be completely alone.

Hello, this is Monika and Patrycja. We love nature, wild, forgotten places, good design and traditional crafts. We both graduated from art schools and work in creative professions. We live permanently in Warsaw. Leszczewo 15 has been close to our hearts for many years. Patrycja came here with her parents and, at the age of six, she planted a linden tree in front of the house, where we now have a treehouse. Back then, there was a hundred-year-old log house here, incredibly atmospheric, but unfortunately very worn by time. True masterpieces were created here, because its owners were the painter Waldemar Petryk and the reporter Lidia Ostalowska. I, Monika, came here many years later and fell in love with this place from the first moment. The house was barely standing, but the atmosphere around was magical. I have never rested anywhere before like here. A lot of people came and, despite the spartan conditions, everyone had similar feelings. When the habitat became our property, we decided to rebuild it, introducing new solutions with respect to its former form. What remains of the old habitat are fragments of the foundation, a well, a clay pigsty and the unique atmosphere of the house in the buffer zone of the Wigry National Park. We now have hot water in the tap (delicious, tested tap water), a toilet in the house, heating, and a roof that doesn't leak. We appreciate it very much. The area is unique because when the house is located in a national park, you are surrounded by wilderness and few neighbors. Mainly meadows, fields and forest, a meandering river and numerous lakes around.
