At a glance
Mondays are lazy in Leszczewo. Tuesdays are lazy too, in fact, and Wednesdays are not so bad either. If you think about it carefully, what in such natural circumstances becomes quite an effort, every day of the week is lazy here. Because the circumstances are truly lazy, the green caresses the eyes, the trees cast shadows, and the memories of the former habitat in the Wigry National Park are still present. Movements are slow (this rule does not apply to children), bodies are lazy, hair is loose, and decisions about what to do here are not made immediately.
However, there is no point in pondering over this feature of our piece of the Suwałki village, it is better to indulge in unhurried coffee drinking on the terrace and eating quiche aux poireaux at a table under the linden tree. The one that Patrycja planted when she was 6. The tree grew and a house was built on it, which can be visited by daredevils specializing in tree climbing. And next to it, on the foundations of a hundred-year-old house that time ruined, we rebuilt a new, large house with respect for its former form. We gave it a light gray facade diversified with blue, and we decorated the interiors in natural colors, mixing modernity with rusticity. You will be delighted by the meadows surrounding us, the river flowing nearby and the news that you can swim across one of the nearby lakes or wallow in laziness on a pier where you can be completely alone.
We put forward a thesis: nowhere is rest as good as here. Now you have to check it out!

Hi, this is Monika and Patrycja. We love nature, wild, forgotten places, good design and traditional crafts. Both graduated from art schools and work in creative professions. We live permanently in Warsaw. Leszczewo 15 has been close to our hearts for many years. Patrycja used to come here with her parents and when she was six, she planted a linden tree in front of the house, on which we now have a tree house. At that time, there was a hundred-year-old log house here, incredibly atmospheric, unfortunately very damaged by the ravages of time. True masterpieces were created here, because its owners were the painter Waldemar Petryk and reporter Lidia Ostałowska. I, Monika, came here many years later and fell in love with this place from the first moment. The house was barely standing, but the atmosphere around was magical. I had never rested like here before. A lot of people came and despite the spartan conditions, everyone had similar feelings. When the homestead became our property, we decided to rebuild it, introducing new solutions with respect for its former form. The remains of the old homestead are fragments of the foundation, a well, a clay pigsty and the unique atmosphere of a homestead in the buffer zone of the Wigry National Park. We now have hot tap water (delicious, tested tap water), a toilet in the house, heating, a roof that does not leak. We appreciate it very much. The area is unique, because when the house is located in a national park, you are surrounded by wilderness and few neighbors. Mainly meadows, fields and forest, a meandering river, and numerous lakes around.
