Źϊtåjcie! Have you heard of kierce? And of Kurpie cutouts? You will have the opportunity to see these colorful examples of folk design during your visit to Koronkowa Chata. I order them from folk artists through the Kurpie Culture Museum, with which I have been associated for years. The colorful kierce hanging from the ceiling will enchant you with the richness of colors and the imagination of their creators. From the ladies from Kadzidło, in turn, I buy beautiful flowers made of crepe paper, which will be waiting for you in vases. The artists call them "doggie princes".

Where did the idea for a substitute for Kurpie 30 km from Gdańsk come from? That's where I come from and I always wanted to move my family home to the picturesque Kashubia. Today, transporting and rebuilding wooden cottages intended for demolition is becoming quite popular, but 25 years ago it was a huge undertaking. My husband helped me fulfill my dream and in 2000 we moved a log house from the village of Zawady in the central part of Kurpie to Michalin in Kashubia. In order to create a cosy village and take care of the authenticity of our place, we also recreated farm buildings and even dug a large pond with our own bridge. My desire to move a bit of my homeland to Kashubia came true and for years I have been cultivating Kurpie traditions near Gdańsk, where we live. If you are curious about the magical Kurpie or are simply looking for an unusual and fabulously located place to relax, I invite you to Koronkowa Chata. There are no nets here, but there is water, greenery and endless inspiration.

We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help

My name is Maria and I come from Kurpie, a beautiful region located in Masovia. Although I have lived in Gdańsk for many years, I have always wanted to move my family home to the picturesque areas of Kashubia. My husband Jarek made this dream come true... This is how the Lace Chata with original elements of folk art was created.

Magiczne miejsce!
