About twelve years ago we bought a 250-year-old ruin of stone houses on the island of Hvar in Croatia. We decided to transform something what was originally used by people and animals for occasional sleeping into the holiday nest for us and for you. And that was just the beginning... It took us 4 years to turn these stone ruins into proper houses. We used what has always been there in abundance - local stone - and tried to make the houses not only fit in with their surroundings and the spirit of the island, but also being kind to nature itself.
 
We warmly invite you to visit us. To enjoy beautiful loneliness, still close to the civilization. And even closer to the sky and the sea. Here you will be surrounded only by nature, vineyards and olive trees. Without any neighbors, with a swimming pool and a terrace from where you will have an unbelievable view to the sea. Such an altitude reset from the everyday and a little Croatian adventure on Hvar in one. We look forward to seeing you!

It is quite clear to us that the ancient techniques used for construction cannot be compared with those of today. Which ones are better in your opinion, we leave to your consideration. But we decided to combine them together to build our-your resting nest on an old stone foundation. After all, the beauty of raw stone is top for us, and where we could, we used these local treasures.

And so we connected everything and created 3 spacious rooms together for up to 8 people. You can rent them separately or the whole place just for you.

- 2 rooms with a double bed (possibility to divide them into 2 single beds). Each room has a private bathroom with shower.
- mezzanine for 4 persons with double bed on the ground floor, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. There is space for 2 more people on the mezzanine.

TERRACE & SWIMMING POOL
Lounge chairs and a barbecue are waiting for you (the pool is available during the summer season).

From here you can peacefully enjoy an open view on the Adriatic Sea, or the islands of Korcula and Šćero on the background of the sea surface.

PARKING
The access road to the house is not asphalted. In case you would have a problem to drive your car up, you can park it on our property. In this case, we will help you with your luggage and belongings, which we will take out with our car.

What we definitely recommend and what always makes us happy is the fish market (ribarnica). For example, go to the one in Jelsa and buy fresh fish for the evening barbecue.
You can also buy them directly from the fishing boat or from local fishermen in the centre of Stari Grad.

For local delicacies, go to a traditional restaurant (konoba), taste the seafood or even try the gregada. And toast to a great holiday with wine from the local vineyards.

Do you want to do something other than just relax on a sun lounger or in the pool and enjoy the view of the sea? Swimming in the sea could beat that - you'll be 250 metres from the waves.

- the forested islands of Pakleni
- the most historically significant city on the island: Stari Grad - from where you can get to Split by ferry; you will be close to the Starigradsko polje area (UNESCO)
- maybe you will be tempted by the smell of lavender fields in Velo Grablje or go to the lavender festival (July)
- you can also go to the village of Brusje for lavender
- exploring the wild beaches all over the island is worth it
- Humac village and Grapčeva caves, 7 km from Jelsa
