When we people from Bohemia discovered Vitalba near the authentic Tuscan village of Castellina Marittima, we had no idea how much everything would turn upside down. But it did, and this 15th century stone building is now where we live. And our wish is for it to be as good as possible. No, we are not building a castle in the air. On the contrary, we are bringing life back to a place whose fate was hanging in the balance just a few years ago. And we set about fulfilling our wish with vigor. We have plans for what we will do here for the next three lives, but in the current one, Vitalba is paramount.
Genius loci has its permanent residence here.

Two holiday houses with a swimming pool are located in the middle of nature, near the sea, known and unknown Tuscan towns among wide meadows. You will get your hands on our own Corriere della Vitalba newspaper in Czech, where you will find all our secret tips and recommendations. We will tell you personally what does not fit in the newspaper. With us, you definitely don't have to stress about any language barrier. And if there is any stress, we can wash it down together with wine from local winemakers. We will be happy to sit with you and talk. For example, about how we discovered this place of ours at the end of the world.

On Vitalba hill there are two reconstructed medieval stables that have been converted into apartments.
Everyone calls them apartments, when in fact they are two separate full-fledged houses. One where no space has been spared, where stone walls protect you from the heat, wooden beams take your worries off your shoulders, and where everyone has their own garden and place to sit. The dream place under the Tuscan sun thus becomes a living reality...
Our accommodation is suitable for larger families or groups of friends.

House capacity: 6 people (possibility of extra bed for 1 person)

- upstairs: 3 bedrooms (2 with a double bed, 1 bedroom with separate beds) and a bathroom with a bathtub

SWIMMING POOL
Lost in the middle of a meadow is available to all guests in the summer months: from the beginning of June to the end of September.

The kitchens in both houses are fully equipped (including fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine).

For example, a pizzeria with the most beautiful view of the sunset or Trattoria Papacqua - a place that cannot be described, but must be experienced! You don't have to go far for good food. The village with a bar, the famous Papacqua and a pizzeria is four kilometers away.

Yes, having a plan can be a great stepping stone. But definitely don't let them tie you down and stress you out. Your vacation under the Tuscan sky should be full of rest, sunshine, ice cream and maybe even a pinch of that Italian flair.

Our Castellina Marittima is an authentic Tuscan village that lives its own life regardless of the tourist traffic - which is great because you can avoid the crowds here. It is located in the province of Pisa in the hills near the coast. In the past, the village was famous for mining one of the best alabaster, today it is a place where farmers, winemakers, people with big hearts and us live.

But to answer your curious question "How far are you from...?", we'll start like this:

# CITIES
Thanks to its unique location, Podere Vitalba is within easy reach of the sea coast, nature and popular and sought-after cities such as Florence (90 km), Siena (90 km), Pisa (55 km), San Gimignano (50 km), Livorno (45 km ) and more.
The famous Leaning Tower of Pisa can be seen in less than an hour's drive from Vitalba, you can reach Florence in an hour and a half, Volterra and San Gimignano are within sight of our property, and one of the most beautiful inland roads leads from us to Siena.

#SEA
The sea is 15 km away and you can choose from sandy, pebbly beaches or we can recommend less popular rocks and cliffs.

- Marina di Cecina - sea (20 km, 25 minutes)
- Castiglioncello - sea (20 km, 25 minutes)
