In our two-hundred-year-old forester's lodge, we appreciate the simplicity of life. We celebrate mornings with good coffee, practice forest bathing, find time just for ourselves and share it with others. It wasn't always like this here. There was a neglected ruin here that had something about it that convinced us to give it our commitment and love. We added running water, removed the asbestos from the roof and basement, and exposed wooden beams covered with plaster. We found the date 1823 and completed the renovation just in time for the house's 200th birthday, giving it a second youth. From old German maps and stories from friends from the area, we learned that there was once a settlement here. Today, the forester's lodge stands here alone and you come here as if you were visiting your beloved grandparents. Inside, we have three cozy bedrooms with a view of the forest. To complement the original tiled stove, we built a second, kitchen stove, where you can cook and dry forest harvests. We invite you to sit on comfortable sofas and read a book from the bookcase and homemade preserves from the cupboard. You can feast on the terrace and bask in the tub, preferably when the sky is covered with stars. You can walk forest trails together, splash in nearby lakes, and admire sunrises and sunsets. Celebrate simple moments.
Our 200-year-old forester's lodge will be most comfortable for 6 people, although you can also come here with 8 people. The house has 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed. 2 people can sleep on the fold-out sofa.
House layout:
– atmospheric living room with a comfortable sofa and a bookcase,
- kitchen,
– 2 bathrooms,
– 3 bedrooms.
The sleeping arrangement looks like this:
– the room behind the kitchen has a double bed, its own bathroom and a view of the forest,
– the lavender room has a double bed (queen size), fragrant flowers under the window and a bathroom right next to it,
– a room with a stove is a room with a fold-out bed (up to queen size) and a tiled stove.
The house is surrounded by a plot fenced with a wooden fence. In the garden with a view of the forest, you will find a hot tub, a place for a bonfire and a barbecue. The house also has an atmospheric covered terrace with a dining table.
Our kitchen is well-equipped, and an additional attraction is an efficient tiled stove on which you can cook and dry mushrooms collected in the forest surrounding the house, as well as plants and herbs - bear's garlic, mint, and sorrel.
The Jelonek forester's lodge is located in the middle of the forest. This is the last preserved habitat in the settlement that once existed here. Carefully renovated, with the amazing atmosphere of a wooden house over 200 years old. This is our favorite place to spend time with our loved ones and ourselves, and we are happy to share it with you. The only holiday home of our lovely neighbors is nearby.
Come to:
– hold feasts on the covered terrace,
– read books from a large library,
– soak in the tub,
– stare at the forest, inhale its scent and walk through it as much as you want,
– collect mushrooms and dry them on a tiled stove,
- play chess,
– watch birds through binoculars,
– eat homemade preserves,
– do absolutely nothing!
We are located in Bruzda Zbąszyńska, the eastern part of the Lubuskie Lake District. It is a wide depression filled with post-glacial formations. There are a large number of ribbon lakes, including: Kuźnickie Lake (also called Biały), which you can reach in less than 10 minutes. There are several swimming areas there. It is also worth appreciating its natural values - in the northern part there is a red kite refuge, great crested grebes and mute swans nest, and on the western bank there is the only breeding site of the Syrian woodpecker in Greater Poland.
The closest lake to us is Piekiełko (also called Jelonek), which is a few minutes' walk away (300 meters from us). There is a bridge there. Officially, the lake is a water intake point and people rather admire it than swim in it. The reservoir is located between Lake Kuźnicki and Lake Brajec - this is the third and closest lake to us. There are piers over it and you can fish there (the walk will take you about 20 minutes). There is a white-tailed eagle habitat along the way.
In Kuźnica Zbąska, neighboring Jelonek, you can see a complex of historic half-timbered houses from the early 19th century. 19th century, when the village had a forge powered by water from the Dojca River flowing nearby. Iron from bog ore was smelted here, and a Olęder settlement was established next to the forge.
Training paths for MTB fans have been created on the surrounding hills. They are partially connected to the yellow hiking trail that runs through Kuźnica Zbąska (the entire trail leads from Sława through Wolsztyn to Nowy Tomyśl).
Nearby there is the Uroczysko Wołkołatka Historical Park (12 minutes by car), where you can learn about the life of ancient craftsmen, visit the cottage of a Slavic fortune teller, listen to a concert of old Slavic instruments, or learn how to shoot a bow and crossbow (visiting the open-air museum is possible only after reservation by phone).
Come to Wolsztyn (12 minutes by car), take a walk along the picturesque corners of Lake Wolsztyńskie and the Dojca River, and visit the Steam Locomotive Museum. The world's last locomotive shed operating passenger traffic on a normal track operates here.
Your senses will be spoiled by a trip to the lavender plantation, Silna Lawenda (55 minutes by car), where you will find fabulous views and products made from this plant (including oil and hydrolate). The plantation also organizes workshops.
At your special request, Kasia (a graduate of the Astronomical Institute of the University of Wrocław) can prepare a night sky show for you and tell you what we look at when we raise our heads up.
