This is a truly amazing place. A little bit like a Jane Austin novel, but much more like the country residence of Krystyna, Queen of Sweden, who loved theatre, music and good literature. It's a little like Sweden here, very Gustavian, with a lot of light beige and grey. Good for a harmonious rest.

Kamieniec Palace is the result of a vacation in the Kłodzko Valley and a love affair with the region. Then came the neglected property and the gravely expressed fear that "we might buy it." Then the real adventure began, a vast dose of history, and a 200-year-old letter hidden above the lintel of one of the doors. Would we do it again? Without hesitation.
