What is miyszani? It is not an Asian philosophy of happiness or a Balkan dish. It is a custom that my uncle, Henryk Kukuczka, started in Stecówka. Miyszani means sheep mixing, or the moment when the farmers hand over their animals to the care of the shepherd and the juhas. The local miyszani and autumn rozsod were spectacles that enjoyed great popularity. It was Uncle Henryk, known as the Shepherd of Stecówka, who initiated the renewal of shepherding in the Silesian Beskids. In the late 1990s, together with three farmers, he brought sheep to Istebna and decided to graze them in the traditional way. Everyone knew Uncle Henryk. He was the good soul of Stecówka, and the sight of him, especially when he led the flock with his granddaughter Gabrysia, always brought a smile to my face.
My uncle's old agritourism farm stands just behind our fence and Aunt Krysia lives there today with a few sheep. So you must know that this corner of Stecówka has not only a special charm and history, but also a very important place in the hearts of our family. Maybe it will occupy it in yours too? We are located right next to the trail to Barania Góra, we have 2 well-groomed cottages with tubs, a large green area for children (including the four-legged ones) and it is hard to find a place where you can experience the Silesian Beskids more fully than here.

I wholeheartedly invite you to our log houses, where time passes slower, away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by mountains.
We want to share with you the magic of this place, so that you can feel the freedom of nature and its beauty. Our houses are a combination of new, comfortable equipment with the charm of wood. I think everyone will find something for themselves here. Hikers: mountain trails, cyclists - great bike routes. Evenings and mornings will be made more pleasant by bathing in a tub with wonderful views.
