Maria Dąbrowska compared Białystok Boyary to English suburbs full of gardens. Because Bojary is an extraordinary district where time has slowed down significantly and traces of old wooden architecture are still visible. Ruin enthusiasts painstakingly recreate houses tailored to the context of the place under the supervision of a conservator. Its origins date back to the 16th century, when there was a village called Miłosze. It was covered with rustling fields of grain, cut down with sickles by boyars, peasants free from serfdom. Today, the street grid still reflects the layout of the arable lands of the boyar three-field district. Each of them looks slightly different, and the entire district looks more like a village than a city. It is quiet here, the buildings are low and have been rebuilt for a long time based on plans and historical drawings. There is a lot of greenery here, you can meet hedgehogs during walks, and you can hear the sounds of nature from the garden. We liked it here so much that in addition to renovating the house for ourselves, we also started recreating the one next door, dating back to 1931. We rebuilt Koszyki 19 anew - so that they fit into the fabric of the district. Inside, there are 4 comfortable apartments and a common space with a living room, dining room and kitchen. In front there is a terrace and a garden with deckchairs, and in the building next door there is a gym.
Come to Bojary to admire the old architecture of Białystok, taste sweet delicacies of Tatar cuisine, see the house where Piłsudski slept and be surprised by Podlasie.
Welcome to the historic district of Białystok called Bojary. It is a "village" in the middle of the city with a cobbled street and buildings rich in old tenement houses and historic, also wooden, residential houses. In one of such houses, which we recreated under the supervision of a conservator (the house standing here was from 1931), we have 4 atmospheric apartments for 2-4 people.
There is also a common space in the house, which consists of a living room with a dining room and a kitchen.
The house is surrounded by a well-kept garden. There is a gym in the building next door. We can also provide you with a hot tub upon request.
The house has a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, induction hob, kettle and coffee machine. The cabinets contain cups, glasses, plates, cutlery, as well as coffee, tea, sugar, spices and oil.
The upper, larger apartments have private kitchenettes with a fridge, freezer, induction hob, kettle and dishwasher.
Upon special request, we can equip the fridge with the indicated products before your arrival for an additional fee, but please inform us in advance. We want the food not to go to waste and to be tailored to your needs.
For delicious sweet delicacies of Tatar cuisine, go to the Halva restaurant, where your palate will be spoiled: pistachio, rose and Crimean Tatar pakhlava (thin sheets of dough fried in clarified butter, poured with honey syrup and sprinkled with nuts) as well as halva with raspberries and chocolate.
On site you will find:
– a well-equipped gym in the building next door,
– possibility of playing table tennis and badminton in the garden,
– a hot tub in the garden organized at your special request (please inform us before arrival if you want to make a reservation for a specific day),
– garden with deckchairs,
– terrace with tables.
We live "in the countryside", although formally in the very center of Białystok. Being here, it is hard to believe that around the corner there is a bustling city.
The constantly and intensively developing Białystok offers many bicycle paths, good infrastructure, communication and many interesting and worth visiting places.
Our place is a great base for trips to nearby equally delightful places: the health resort in Supraśl with a beautiful monastery, Tykocin with the second largest synagogue in Poland, or the Tatar trail in Kruszyniany.
You can also simply hide in our boyar village and feel the atmosphere of pre-war Białystok.
We would like to make our House available to those who would like to truly get to know Białystok and Podlasie. Or maybe you will also love this place as much as we do?
What’s there for employees?
In each of the apartments you will find a place to work, and the internet is fast, so you can feel free to drop by for a workation!
