Maria Dąbrowska compared Białystok Boyary to English suburbs full of gardens. Because Bojary is an extraordinary district where time has slowed down significantly and traces of old wooden architecture are still visible. Ruin enthusiasts painstakingly recreate houses tailored to the context of the place under the supervision of a conservator. Its origins date back to the 16th century, when there was a village called Miłosze. It was covered with rustling fields of grain, cut down with sickles by boyars, peasants free from serfdom. Today, the street grid still reflects the layout of the arable lands of the boyar three-field district. Each of them looks slightly different, and the entire district looks more like a village than a city. It is quiet here, the buildings are low and have been rebuilt for a long time based on plans and historical drawings. There is a lot of greenery here, you can meet hedgehogs during walks, and you can hear the sounds of nature from the garden. We liked it here so much that in addition to renovating the house for ourselves, we also started recreating the one next door, dating back to 1931. We rebuilt Koszyki 19 anew - so that they fit into the fabric of the district. Inside, there are 4 comfortable apartments and a common space with a living room, dining room and kitchen. In front there is a terrace and a garden with deckchairs, and in the building next door there is a gym.
Come to Bojary to admire the old architecture of Białystok, taste sweet delicacies of Tatar cuisine, see the house where Piłsudski slept and be surprised by Podlasie.

Sometimes we are on-site, sometimes we're not
My name is Ewa and together with my husband we decided to give a second, maybe slightly different, life to the house that was falling apart before our eyes next door. Our daughter Ola has joined our team and she is making every effort to breathe life into this place and to let you know where we are and how to get to us. My husband and I do not come from Podlasie, but by chance it became our place on earth. We have been discovering this region since our student days and it enchanted us with its diversity. Both a cultural mix and the surrounding nature: the Knyszyńska Forest, the Narew National Park, the Białowieża Forest and the Biebrza National Park. They call us the Green Lungs of Poland. Yes, US, because we have become part of them.
