Years ago, with a friend, we visited the village of Karpniki, located in Rudawy Janowickie at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains. It was summer, wild strawberries were ripe in the meadows, crickets were playing, and all around - the history of architecture: historic palaces and castles surrounded by parks, churches, country cottages. The beauty and wealth of this place surprised and fascinated us. Many buildings were in ruins. Security work was just starting in some of them. A historic mill in Karpniki stood in our way, and we decided to revitalize it. We tried to preserve as much of the building as possible, and then... we breathed new function, technology and design into the historic walls - new life. The idea to create guest apartments in the mill came from the desire to relax in nature and silence - in comfortable, spacious and beautiful interiors. Our implementation was appreciated by the Provincial Conservator of Monuments himself. We believe that you will also appreciate its unique atmosphere - its genius loci. We cordially invite you at any time of the year.
We invite you to the carefully restored, historic Karpnicki Mill, which dates back to the 18th century. We are located in a large green area between the Karpnicki Stream and the Młynówka Canal.
Młyn Karpnicki is a combination of historic architecture with modern design and technology. In the spacious, atmospheric apartments you will find nicely and comfortably furnished living rooms, comfortably equipped kitchenettes, cozy bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The interior design is complemented by antique furniture, including hand-painted Jelenia Góra wardrobes from the 18th century, and historic tiled stoves and fireplaces.
Each apartment has a parking space in a fenced and monitored courtyard. It is also possible to rent a place in a closed storage room for bicycles and other sports equipment.
Each apartment has a well-equipped kitchen where you can conveniently prepare your meals.
We invite you to the Valley of Palaces and Gardens - an enclave of historic residences, located at the junction of three countries, at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains. In an area of only 102 km², you will find a unique complex of 30 beautiful residences. Karpniki Castle and the Oak Palace in Karpniki are among the 11 palace and park complexes of the Jelenia Góra Valley, which were included in the list of Polish Historical Monuments in 2012 (a form of the highest recognition for monuments). In the immediate vicinity there are other buildings in: Bukowiec, Ciszyca near Kowary, Jelenia Góra - the Paulinum Palace and the Schaffgotsch Palace in Cieplice, Łomnica, Mysłakowice, Staniszów Górny, Wojanów - Bobrow and Wojanów.

We have friendly wild, semi-wild and domestic animals that visit us and are great to watch:
- a semi-wild, very friendly and playful cat, who has her territory opposite us, on our meadow by the Karpnicki Stream,
– a deer that lives in the nearby bushes and feeds and waters us three times a day,
– domestic birds (chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys) passing from neighbors,
– herons and even black storks passing by,
– swallows and lots of other singing birds nesting under the roof,
– butterflies and all insects using the wild, unmowed part of the garden
- newts and salamanders in the Młynówka biotope and by the stream, under stones and in wood piles,
– trout and other fish in the Karpnicki Stream
– fauna and flora, in particular beaver habitats, in the Karpnickie Ponds (Natura 2000).
In our garden you will find groups of garden furniture, hammocks and deckchairs, a barbecue and bonfire area, a playground for children, and a ping-pong table and a punching bag under the roof.
What’s there for children?
Children can enjoy hammocks, deckchairs, swings, a slide, a sandbox, a plastic and inflatable pool, garden toys and tools, games, a football field, a table tennis table, a punching bag with gloves, and, on request, a Rifi-Rafi clown.
