When we bought the palace in 2016, we didn't think that one day we would welcome guests there. However, life can surprise you. The residence, built in 1830, has followed a winding path in life. A few years after the construction was completed, the palace was damaged by fire; after World War II, it became a summer camp for children, and later it housed workers' apartments. There was even a grocery store. The future of the monument was neither fairy-tale nor rosy. And then we showed up. We were not deterred by the then condition of the palace or the surrounding park. The reconstruction took us 9 years and we tried to take care of every detail to restore the building's former glory - chandeliers came from France and the Netherlands, wallpapers from Germany, tiles, fittings and ceramics from Italy. Additionally, antiques, paintings, stylized furniture, wainscoting, tiled stoves, a renovated wooden staircase... Today, in pampered surroundings, from April to December we welcome guests looking for peace and respite in one of the 12 rooms of the 19th-century residence. We feed them the best local products, including home-made ones, surround them with a calm atmosphere and encourage them to discover the history of the palace and the surrounding park.
Look for all this in Lower Silesia, in the town of Gruszów, only 40 km from Wrocław. Here we have a view of Ślęża and the Sowie Mountains and fairy-tale conditions for a reset from everyday life.
