We are a place where there are always more animals than guests. Because the history of the Guest House is primarily the history of the old state farm, which was bought by Beth Macate in the 1990s. Tired of the pace of the financial world on Wall Street, Beth found herself on the border of Beskid Niski and Sądecki. She founded her own ecological farm, full of horses, dogs, sheep, goats and bees. We, Madzia and Wojtek, have also been supporting her for several years, taking care of 2 apartments and 4 guest rooms. We are mainly visited by families who want to show their children "farming" life. It is with them in mind that we organize horse riding camps, bread baking workshops and walks around the farm.
Don't be surprised if singing birds wake you up at 4 a.m., for breakfast you will only get what grows in the Beskid region, and in winter we will invite you for a sleigh ride. Because that's what we like: authentic and close to nature. So, see you later?
Our house is located close to the center of Tylicz, but at the same time off the beaten track, not directly bordering the road, which ensures peace and quiet and, on the other hand, proximity to shops and restaurants.
On the ground floor, to the right of the entrance, there is a large fireplace room with 4 tables, a large, decorative fireplace and an old antique piano imported from musician friends from Krakow. The main wall on the entrance side is fully glazed, overlooking the terrace and horse paddock.
On the ground floor, to the left of the entrance, there is a dining room also with a glass wall and another fireplace (tile with glass), a wardrobe with herbs, a wood-burning stove, which is not only a decoration, but we also use it :) From the dining room there is a passage to the second terrace from side of the garden, where we prepare a barbecue for our guests. On the first floor there are rooms and the 2 largest apartments (the apartments are two-level, but do not have lockable bedrooms).
The price of accommodation includes a buffet breakfast. During the day you can enjoy free coffee and, upon request, also tea made from our hand-picked and dried herbs. We also have a barbecue gazebo and a fireplace - you can order dinner with lamb and mutton tasting. During the season, we often make a larger dinner like this once a week. Depending on the season, we have many of our own products: cold meats, cheeses, vegetables, preserves, honey, and eggs.
Our rooms and apartments are equipped with basic kitchenettes. The kitchenettes in the apartments are, of course, larger. You can find a list of recommended neighborhood restaurants below :)
In the house you will find a lot of board games, a library with books, a ping-pong table, a billiard table, table football, a separate massage room and a room where fitness classes are held three times a week. In turn, in the garden there is a pond, hammocks, deckchairs and a sauna heated by a stove.
For our guests, we offer discounts on the Słotwiny Arena observation tower, the rope park in Krynica, kayaks/pontoons on the Poprad River (10 km from us) and the swimming pool in Tylicz (2 km from us). We transport guests to the ski lifts free of charge by buses (min. 3 people). We also have discounts on ski passes, and the lifts themselves are located 800 m and 2 km away. During the winter holidays, every week we organize a sleigh ride with a bonfire to the scenic Łan Mountain and a feast for our guests.
There is a historic wooden Orthodox church nearby. There is also a large wooden playground with a brine graduation tower and a spring with mineral water. Tylicz itself is located on the trail of Lemko Orthodox Churches and is close to the Slovak border, so you can reach Bardejov - a UNESCO city in just 20 minutes by car.
In addition:
- in the Janówka ski center in Tylicz you can rent cross-country/ski touring skis,
- in the same center you can also rent bicycles with full equipment (helmets, children's seats, etc.),
- we have our own stud farm, indoor riding arena and sandy arena.
What’s there for children?
During the summer holidays, our ecological farm hosts horse camps and farm workshops for children. We then milk the goats, bake bread, take care of the plants in the greenhouse and get to know our animals: goats, sheep, a donkey, a mule, pigs, horses, turkeys, ducks, rabbits and chickens.
In the garden we have a playground with a mud kitchen.
