One day I fell in love with Lanckorona. Even though its glory days seemed to be behind it, I saw incredible potential in it. At the same time, my father - with whom we share a penchant for crazy ideas - decided to buy a house at the Lanckoroński market square. It was a ruin: dirt floor, no sewage system, rotten walls. And yet, Lanckorona has since become my anchor, where I moved permanently after times of constant travel. I replaced the former offices of the Municipal Cooperative with a 2-bedroom apartment, furniture with its own history and terraces overlooking the market square.
Lanckorona is the navel of the world. Everything intertwines here: nature, culture, art. But it is thanks to people that an ordinary walk to buy sugar turns into a conversation with neighbors, greeting a famous director or listening to the sounds of a guitar. We have atmospheric cafes, ceramics galleries and angels on the streets.
They say that Lanckorona resembles Tuscany. I do not agree with this. Tuscany resembles Lanckorona. Come so you can see it for yourself.
The apartment is approximately 100 sq m. It consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two balconies overlooking the Lanckoroński Market Square and greenery. It is intended for a maximum of 4 guests. The beds can be configured as two doubles (180 cm) or four singles (90 cm). When booking, let us know which arrangement you prefer.
Due to the steep stairs leading to the apartment, families with older children are welcome.
And one more thing - we have three clocks and none of them works properly. We tried to fix it and finally decided that this was the way it was supposed to be. Time in Lanckorona runs at its own rhythm and there is nothing else to do but surrender to it
I do not offer ready-made meals, but you can prepare them yourself in a well-equipped kitchen. In Lanckorona you can also not cook at all and visit places such as:
- Arka Cafe, an atmospheric cafe in a 100-year-old building, where you can eat breakfast classics, delicious cakes and light lunch dishes;
- Manor house in Lanckorona, where you can listen to a concert and eat pistachio cheesecake, donuts or strawberry macaroons;
- LancBurger, a burger place with supposedly better burgers than in Krakow :) It's run by wonderful people.
- Targowa 19, run by mother and daughter. They have an old bus in the garden, dance parties and an amazing view of the mountains.
Lanckorona is famous for its lazy, blissful climate.
However, there is a lot going on there, although I recommend taking a walk without a destination.
Perhaps on your way you will visit:
- ceramics galleries, e.g. the one belonging to Asia and Piotr Piaskowski at Świętokrzyska 13,
- one of our atmospheric cafes (I recommend Ewa and Jacek's place: Arca Cafe or Cafe Pensjonat)
- Manor house in Lanckorona, where concerts are often held (current ones can be found on their Facebook),
- one of our Lanckorona festivals (June - Midsummer Fair, July - Antique Vehicle Rally, July - Terra Artis Festival, August - Romantic Lanckorona Summer Festival, December - Angels Festival). Details here: https://www.facebook.com/lanckoronaturystyczna
- ruins of the castle built by Casimir the Great,
- Ethnographic Museum of the Lanckoron Land, a small museum in a cottage with a historical and ethnographic exhibition,
- Animation Alley, where you can see a show full of theater puppets, and sometimes also take part in puppet workshops,
- Lake Mucharskie with a beach and water equipment rental (approx. 25 km from Lanckorona).
What’s there for children?
Due to the steep stairs, the apartment is suitable for children from 12 years of age. Thank you for your understanding :)
What’s there for employees?
There is fast Internet in the apartment, and in one of the bedrooms you will find a work desk.
