Quick check

One day I fell in love with Lanckorona. Even though its glory days seemed to be behind it, I saw incredible potential in it. At the same time, my father - with whom we share a penchant for crazy ideas - decided to buy a house at the Lanckoroński market square. It was a ruin: dirt floor, no sewage system, rotten walls. And yet, Lanckorona has since become my anchor, where I moved permanently after times of constant travel. I replaced the former offices of the Municipal Cooperative with a 2-bedroom apartment, furniture with its own history and terraces overlooking the market square.

Lanckorona is the navel of the world. Everything intertwines here: nature, culture, art. But it is thanks to people that an ordinary walk to buy sugar turns into a conversation with neighbors, greeting a famous director or listening to the sounds of a guitar. We have atmospheric cafes, ceramics galleries and angels on the streets.

They say that Lanckorona resembles Tuscany. I do not agree with this. Tuscany resembles Lanckorona. Come so you can see it for yourself.

My name is Zosia Oszacka. I am from Krakow, although I was born in Wrocław. I spent a large part of my life in Lanckorona, which I connected with, among other things, thanks to my almost 100-year-old house in the Market Square. Dad bought it in the early 1990s as a complete ruin and the following years were spent renovating it. The house once belonged to the last Mayor of Lanckorona - Jan Kanty Tomczykiewicz, who died here in 1934. The last one, because in the same year Lanckorona lost its city rights and since then we only have mayors. I was one of them myself in the years 2002-2014. We do not know the fate of the house until the era of the Polish People's Republic, when it was the seat of a shoe and hardware store on the ground floor and the office of the Commune Cooperative on the first floor. The renovation turned out to be a lifelong project, and the added value is the fact that it shaped me in many aspects. He awakened in me a passion for architecture and interiors. I am a philologist by profession, but now I know that I missed my calling. Therefore, I pursue my career as an amateur in this field, which brings me joy and satisfaction. My son and I live on the ground floor, where there used to be shops, and I prepared the first floor, where the GS offices were, for Letniks, or Airmen - as they call you in Lanckorona. Please visit us when the weather is warm - from May Day to the end of September. Then we go into autumn and winter sleep until summer!
