Villa Gioiella

Hi! I'm Debbie, a travel writer and photographer, a flying Kiwi living in London. When I first saw Villa Gioiella, I knew I had finally found 'the one'. Her foundations firmly planted in the village of Gioiella and her gaze reaching out to the mystery of the land. It was important to me to be walking distance from all the things that had attracted me to Italy in the first place: food, wine and coffee. Just footsteps from Bar Ruota, the local deli (Conad), Post Office and pharmacy; the village location seemed perfect. But, entering the house, I held my breath because the other essential Italian quality on my 'must have' list was 'views'. Imagine my 'joy' when all the magnificent beauty of Umbria and Tuscany unfolded before me! Let me just say, the sunsets from the balcony at wine o’clock are a thing of beauty! Gioiella is a real hidden gem. There simply is no location more convenient for exploring all the vineyards, culture, history and food of the region. You have to feel the magical energy of slow life.
