On an ancient Etruscan way between Chiusi and Perugia lies the colourful village of Gioiella. The name literally means "little gem" or "little joy". Right in this village surrounded by the picturesque landscape of Tuscany and Umbria I had finally found the “Bella Signora” This place is within walking distance from all important things: vineyards, culture, history, food of the region, coffee and it has breathtaking views over the Val di Chiana in Tuscany, Montepulciano, Cortona, Lakes Trasimeno and Chiusi... I fell in love with this old charming Bella Signora, with village Gioiella and her people, nature. I decorated her with antiques from my travels around the world and Italy. You can find everything you need here and even more of it for everyone. I look forward to welcoming you soon on a hilltop village of a hill in the heart of Italy.

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Debbie
Hi! I'm Debbie, a travel writer and photographer, a flying Kiwi living in London. When I first saw Villa Gioiella, I knew I had finally found 'the one'. Her foundations firmly planted in the village of Gioiella and her gaze reaching out to the mystery of the land. It was important to me to be walking distance from all the things that had attracted me to Italy in the first place: food, wine and coffee. Just footsteps from Bar Ruota, the local deli (Conad), Post Office and pharmacy; the village location seemed perfect. But, entering the house, I held my breath because the other essential Italian quality on my 'must have' list was 'views'. Imagine my 'joy' when all the magnificent beauty of Umbria and Tuscany unfolded before me! Let me just say, the sunsets from the balcony at wine o’clock are a thing of beauty! Gioiella is a real hidden gem. There simply is no location more convenient for exploring all the vineyards, culture, history and food of the region. You have to feel the magical energy of slow life. No question is too small. I look forward to welcoming you soon.
