And here is our house in the middle of the forest and in a village that no longer exists. We didn't have to give up anything to get here - our roots have been growing in the Roztocze soil for 200 years. Therefore, when we dreamed of creating our own place, we knew that we wanted a house as closely connected with Roztocze as we do. And so, almost 3 decades before the word "ruiners" became popular, we became one of them, giving new life to a 90-year-old wooden cottage. We equipped the interior with furniture from our grandparents, but we didn't want to deny ourselves a pinch of modernity in the form of a sauna and a hot tub. They are for you, for unlimited use.
In Roztocze, forests are alive, there is noise and the sun shines most often in Poland. Come and feel the southern atmosphere for yourself.

We have equipped the bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and luxurious, linen "stonewashed" bedding.
We have equipped the terrace with a tarpaulin and heating, especially useful on rainy, colder days.
We have installed mosquito nets on the terrace and on all windows. There is a washer-dryer in the bathroom.
Even on hot days, the cottage is pleasantly cool, and we use the air conditioning mainly for heating. Free fast WiFi is available throughout the house, so come to work :)
The cottage and garden are located in a forest area. We don't have a fence on three sides, so as not to create an artificial barrier between the garden and the forest. Thanks to this, the forest "enters" our threshold. Squirrels and deer are basically the norm, and a moose often visits here, heading for the watering hole in Tanew. There is a forester in the forest, sometimes mushroom pickers or a guest from a neighboring farm heading for berries will pass by. Everyone is welcome:)
You can cook delicious meals yourself in the kitchen, in the oven, on the grill or on the campfire. The cottage has basic spices that will give them flavor (you don't have to bring them with you), and you'll also find oil, wine vinegar, rice or pasta.
When you run out of culinary inspiration, there's a food-track bar open during the season (from mid-June to the end of August), with hot pizza, salty and sweet snacks and ice cream. The bar is run by my family, whose plot of land is next to ours. Close enough to pop out for a snack in slippers, far enough away not to get in your way.
The nearest restaurants and shops are a few kilometers away, you can cover them by bike or car, while exploring the area. The regional Mama tavern, located in Jacnia, is shrouded in legend - a longer distance, but it's really worth a visit and visiting Zwierzyniec along the way. For hot pancakes or buckwheat cabbage rolls, head to Zagroda Guciów, an inn recognized by National Geographic as one of the seven wonders of Poland. Local dishes are also worth trying closer, at the Pałacowa restaurant, 4 km away, which is adjacent to the Baroque Łosiów Palace in Narol. For lovers of fresh fish, we recommend the inn on the island "Pod szczęściam karpiem" in Ruda Różaniecka, and for lovers of exquisite cuisine, we recommend the regionally inspired, sophisticated and very tasty dishes of the Leśna 4 restaurant in the Szumy Park hotel in Susiec, which in good weather are worth enjoying on the terrace, admiring the monumental pines of the Solska Forest.
Roztocze is a magical place, with a unique microclimate and the largest number of sunny days in Poland during the year. At the same time, it is a virgin place, only just being discovered by tourists, where you will not be threatened by the burdensome crowd of visitors.
The cottage in Leśne Pielesze is located deep in the forest, in the valley of the Tanew River, close to tourist towns such as Horyniec Zdrój, Susiec or Huta Szumy, which you can easily reach by bike or located within a short car trip, such as Zwierzyniec, Zamość or Biłgoraj.
In the area you will find many monuments and attractions: the most beautiful wooden Orthodox churches in Poland (some on the UNESCO World Heritage List), unique petrified trees from the Kamienny Las, the Szumy trail with picturesque waterfalls in the Reserve on the Tanew River, historic palaces or remains of noble manors, endless forests, colorful fields and picturesque villages located far from civilization.
The area offers countless cycling and hiking trails, kayaking, fishing, swimming, horse riding, ski slopes. You can go berry picking or mushroom picking or simply enjoy the silence, listening in the nooks of the forest to the ubiquitous wild animals or watching rare species of birds. Regardless of how you choose to spend your free time, it is certain that you will not be bored.
What’s there for children?
Our children are already adults, but when they were younger, they loved going to Roztocze.
We went on trips with them (the cottage is surrounded by hectares of forest with marked tourist routes), rode bikes, picked berries and mushrooms (you will find them right next to the house), bathed in the pond, watched deer, hedgehogs and squirrels, watched the dams that beavers built every year on a tributary of the Tanew River and listened to the croaking of frogs there. The children loved roasting sausages and potatoes on a bonfire, baking gingerbread and homemade pizza in a tiled oven. We also used our time educationally, visiting local museums, churches and bunker ruins with them, and in the evenings we played board games (they are still available on site). Currently, the summer cinema has also been added to the attractions, with Netflix and Disney+ libraries. Our youngest guests love evening sessions on the terrace, decorated with the view of the pines and spruces illuminated in the background. An unforgettable experience :)
The cottage in Leśne Pielesze is a safe place, far from busy roads. The area around is monitored, but not fenced. The cottage is adjacent to an agritourism farm belonging to our relatives, but apart from that it is surrounded by a forest. So remember to take proper care of the safety of your children.
Attention - we invite children over 12 years of age. We decided to introduce such a limit due to the tiled stoves, the terrace on a raised platform and the lack of a fence. We know from our experience that you would have to keep an eye on the little ones here all the time so that they do not go wild into the forest :) Thank you for your understanding!
What’s there for employees?
Free WiFi is available in all rooms, including the terrace. Although the house is not equipped with desks, you can use any of the four tables for remote work. A screen with a projector will be used to prepare presentations (you can connect to it via WiFi), and extension cords with USB chargers are also available. Good coverage of Orange and Play mobile networks.
